Clock Cafe The – NorthfieldThe food, when it finally arrived, was fabulous. The service was beyond poor; slow and inattentive. We had to ask if we could order drinks, waited best part of an hour between starter and main course, and even after requesting our bill we waited so long we took it upon ourselves to go to the bar and pay. There were staffing issues tonight, but even so, a proper apology, complimentary drink or some other gesture would have gone a long way.

Millennium Balti – Kings HeathMy absolute favourite restaurant in Birmingham... Cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are attentive, without being intrusive, the food is delicious and portions are large. I do not think this restaurant is over-priced at all, considering its location! The menu changes seasonally and the meals are carefully prepared using locally-sourced produce. The Chef will come and chat to you, they welcome children and are eager to please. I would eat there every week if I could!! Go there!!!

We saw at least two RATS running around the place and when we complained to the staff, we were firstly accused of being drunk (I do not drink) and then threatened with physical violence and told to "F*** off and never come back!! I have never had a worse experience in any restaurant anywhere in the world, ever. These people are a disgrace.
Imrans Restaurant – Balti Trianglefirst time at this place. Seems very nice... I really enjoyed the Paneer Bhuna, very fingerlickin. For first impressions it is very good - polite and helpful staff, clean and tidy.

Jilabi Indian Restaurant – SheldonI live in London, and since moving from Birmingham 2 years ago I've not found a Fish & Chips bar that comes anywhere near Dad's Lane Fish bar. Everytime a visit Birmingham, it's rare that I will go without fish and chips with curry sauce at some point. The food here is great and service is lovely. I've been going there for 25 years and my family even longer. I couldn't recommend a better place. Beeeaauuttiful!!!

Wall Heath Tandoori – Kingswinfordit had been many years since i had visited St Pauls Square, after visiting The Rectory I won't leave it so long for the return visit. We paid a visit last Saturday night after several of our friends told us how good it was - to say they were raving about it was an understatement! On theirs (and the waiter's) recommendation we opted for the house signature dish of homemade beef wellington, and a crispy belly of pork. I have to say both meals were exceptional and easily justified the recommendations. Perfectly cooked and equally well presented you could not fail to be impressed. Add to that the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and service that was attentive without being intrusive, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and have already booked our table for our next visit and picked up a menu for Christmas along the way!
