A good find and one of my favourite restaurants in birmingham, certainly the best indian. It is set behind broad st in a square next to the hyatt hotel. It is very chic and modern and service has always been good. My fave food is the marinated lamb shank (which i have copied at home, dont tell the chef), it is always tender and tasty. The cost is a little more than run of the mill indians but this place is special.
Blue Mango – Birmingham City CentreWhat a great place! Have eaten in bar estilo a dozen times or so. Have never been let down yet. Food is always appetising and served at the correct temperature, service is outstanding. What really makes the place is the atmosphere... tables seem just the right distance apart to make a vibrant buzzy atmosphere. This is a tapas bar, which is part of a small chain, the staff really seem to care about who they are serving and I find the price to be reasonable for what you get. If you are feeling peckish, two tapas suffice, if you are hungry: three is enough. The drinks menu is extensive with cocktails being a speciality. All in all my favourite place to eat in Birmingham.
Bar Estilo – Birmingham City CentreA typical wagamama. The food was as any other wagamama, pretty good and plentiful. The dyoza etc were excellent and the ramman and noodles good. This is the same as every other wagamama I?e been into although I will say the service was better than most. It was exceptionally clean and the ambience good. A standard wagamama, if you like the chain you will like this.
Wagamama – Birmingham City CentreThis is my favourite Chinese in Birmingham and have eaten there many times. Food has always been very good to outstanding and they have one of the most extensive menu's I have seen. I always have the same main course I? afraid as I cant find it anywhere else, the creamy chicken curry which I have not found elsewhere. Service is always good despite the fact that the restaurant is always packed; it may be better to book ahead if you really want to eat there. Good selection of wines and beers although I always drink Chinese beer there, well you?e got to, haven? you? Would certainly recommend this restaurant.
Chung Ying Garden – Birmingham City CentreA good TGI's if you like American style food and plenty of it. Drinks and cocktails are a little pricey but nice and colourful. Ribs and burgers a speciality and always good.
TGI Fridays – EdgbastonQuite good. Service is always good with all the staff having a smile on their face. I have always enjoyed the food there, especially the starters, it is always hot and fresh. The Thai beer is a must with it. The ambience is quite chic and modern and its proximity to brindley place makes it a must. Out of the Thai restaurants in Birmingham I prefer Thai orchid but this comes a close second.
Thai Edge – Birmingham City CentreWe have visited as a family with two children one aged 2yrs and one aged 7yrs both of which love going to eat here. It makes a great change to eat out as a family where you feel relaxed, calm and all very well fed. We recommend it to all our family and friends, and strangers alike.

Jyoti Vegetarian Restaurant – Hall GreenSome of the best vegetarian Chinese food I have ever tasted. Their beancurd rolls are out of this world, and as for the sizzling aubergine.... No problems with special requests, and staff are always pleasant, if a little harried.

Blue Mango – Birmingham City CentreThe best restaurant I?e ever been to. The curry that I tried was monkfish served with basmati rice, before I dug into it; my mouth was very watery just looking at it. Its atmosphere was outstanding.
Barajee – Birmingham City CentreThe food at this restaurant is very good but as soon as you have finished the waiters come and collect your plates very quickly. Even if the restaurant is empty, you still feel as though you are being rushed!
Balti Garden The – ErdingtonI was very impressed with the quality of the food in this thai restaurant. The atmosphere was very relaxing, and the service was very professional; the staff were very friendly and professional, they always had a smile on their faces... that is what puts the icing on the cake for me when I go for dinner. The location is great as well. I'd recommend this place to anyone, particularly those who are unacquainted with Thai cuisine.

Some good interesting Chinese, Malay and Vietnamese dishes. Prices £5.95 lunch and £7.95 evening, Add on an extra £1 in the evening for sashimi. Great atmosphere, great food, great prices, but not the place to go for a quiet romantic evening.
Big Wok – Birmingham City CentreThis is a great restaurant that does great food. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and it is always busy showing it is a popular choice. However this can cause problems when it comes to the time u have to wait for your food because there are so many people there. Overall it is a lively and friendly place to eat with good food at reasonable prices.
