We had a generally enjoyable experience, as the food was great as always. However, on our most recent visit, we encountered two young waiters who unfortunately did not meet the standards of The Vine and seemed more suited to a fast food environment. One of the waiters brought a slate to share between my wife and me but dropped some of the food from the slate onto the floor right beside the table. He saw it and left it there for the young woman to pick up. To make matters worse, the slate was incomplete with three ramekins, but only two contained anything. I took the slate back to the young woman and pointed out: firstly, if you drop part of a dish, it should not be brought to the table; it needs to go back to the kitchen. Secondly, it’s essential to check the dish before bringing it to the table, referring to the empty ramekin. After this, we had a change of waiter, and everything was perfect.

Disappointed on the service last night. We were seated then forgot about, was while later when our food order was taken. No one mentioned the specials board on arrival. After our meal We asked for the dessert menu which arrived shortly after but then after waiting for 10 minutes or more we decided to leave after no one taking our order. Although staff walked past quite a few times. No one asked if the food was ok or even if we wanted another drink.

Food was superb. Only thing that I was a little disappointed was that we weren’t made aware of the specials when we arrived. That aside, the one I wanted a was off anyone so my decision was made easier. Love the fact they serve game, wish more did. Definitely be coming back very soon.

My only suggestion is please warm your plates and jugs etc before serving it helps keep the food warm for longer. When a waiter expects you to take a plate from him you know the plates are not going to be warm.
