Great atmosphere, service and food

Best Christmas lunch ever, spoilt rotten by all the staff.

The food is lovely what let's this place down is the slow service the staff are friendly enough but you can tell evidently that there is no experience we waited over an HR for them to clear away the table no one came to ask if everything was ok these little things could really elavate this pub

Good food at a reasonable price. Friendly and efficient service in a cosy and comfortable environment. Just what you want a meal in a country pub to be.

Had a wonderful lunch yesterday. My steak was cooked to perfection and my friend said her duck was amazing. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The Vine is my favourite pub in the area, keep up the good work, will be back soon.

Enjoyed a delicious meal on 21/12/22 served by friendly professional staff (especially Anne) in a very pleasant atmosphere. This was our first visit but it certainly will not be our last.

We had Lunch at Da Gino on Sunday the 19.12.2022 and the food and service was excellent.

Great country pub . Good food, mulled wine and a log fire !! What’s not to like !

Booked lunch for 5 on a Saturday. Five different meals and everyone was really pleased with their meal, plates went back empty. Service was great and the atmosphere with a roaring fire was so welcoming. We will definitely be back .

Did not know what to expect but was very impressed food was amazing atmosphere was good although the birthday bell was a bit loud in a small area.. would definitely recommend.

We went to the red lion Thursday 15th December and the food was lovely as always. However, the service was beyond poor! We arrived at 7pm our order was taken at 7.30 and at 8.20 the waitress came over to say she hadn't put our order through but they were making it now. At 9.15 we finally got our dinner and their apology at first was "you can have free desserts." Who wants to eat a dessert at nearly 10pm!! The manager did take money off the bill which was fine but when we went to pay the staff had forgotten us again, they were laying tables but it took almost another half an hour before we finally had enough and decided to pay on the way out. There was no apology and the slow service really wasn't okay. It's not the first time the service has been slow here and it does depend which staff members are working that day. You either have a lovely experience here or you simply get forgotten about and spend hours trying to get your food/drinks order or any communication or acknowledgment from staff.

Could not find fault in any of the dishes we ordered The bread was not what we expect in an Italian restaurant Overall a fantastic experience Cheers to the chefs and the wonderful smart people who were looking after us .

Another good Meal, the Korean chicken and hot chocolate was ideal for a frosty lunchtime!

Super Christmas meal with friends, food was hot and freshly prepared. Service was first class.

The restaurant was lovely and very inviting with a lovely log fire. Unfortunately the food let it down because most things we wanted to order they had run out of this was at 7.30 in the evening . The food which they said they had got they couldn't complete and had to change it again for alternatives. If it wasn't for being with our family we wouldn't have stayed.
