We were disappointed by our meal last night It was not as good as last year and it was a lot more expensive The service was a bit slow and the owner of. The restaurant is not that friendly We also didn’t like being asked if we wanted to add money on the bill for ‘ service’ You should never be asked It should be purely up to you I really didn’t like my sweet which I thought would be the same as last year as the description was the same It feels like the restaurant is buying in cheap frozen ready sweets etc to cut corners presumably but it’s not good enough

We ate at The Old Crown last night. The staff were friendly - we had a choice of where to sit and the atmosphere was really nice. The food was excellent - we had pate and mushrooms on bruschetta to start and both had gammon for mains. Everything was delicious - beautifully presented and value for money. The hot dishes were served nice and hot. We would thoroughly recommend you visit. We saw they do a lunchtime special 12-3pm 2 courses £10. We are going to try that out next time.

Excellent food & service for my husband’s birthday.

Prompt,Polite,Courteous , Food excellent had homemade soup and pate as starters then Ham & Eggs, peas & chips + a Fish & Chips finished with Eton mess + sticky toffee pudding. Drink were also good, Price fair for quality of food. Will happily return. Stan.

My family and I went for Sunday carvery yesterday and I have to say that it was by far THE best I have ever eaten !!! Everything was home cooked and fresh . The giant yorkies were something else. All the staff were wonderful. We then finished our afternoon off on the beautiful garden where there is a lovely play area for t he kids. My 4 year old loved it that much he asked this morning if he could go back there for his birthday in Aug!

Last minute booking so pleasantly surprised they could fit us in. I ordered Venison from the specials board and asked for it rare-medium. Sadly it was over cooked and quite tough. The fondant potato was a large peeled spud baked so was dry. Although the food was disappointing, the staff were very pleasant and efficient and zi couldn’t fault them

We had an excellent Sunday lunch yesterday at the vine. My partner had the roast Turkey and I had the slow roast pork. Both were really good and came with plenty of good vegetables and perfect gravy. We were met with excellent friendly and fast service. This is our third visit and we will definitely be back!!

Great Food, We booked a meal for 2, we had good service, the food was prepared and delivered to us with attention. The atmosphere was relaxed and we had a great time. It was good value for money as well.

Yet again service good and friendly had the food from £10 menu we chose starter and main cause which was enough . We will be back again

Food was amazing, great quality beautifully cooked... With so many eateries recently dropping the quality of the food to keep prices down it was a real pleasure to find The Vine bucking the trend... This was our first visit but most definitely not the last..

Staff were really accommodating for a large gathering we had. Food was delicious and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
