Yummy Noodle Bar – EastbourneRecently visited with friends on a Saturday night - restaurant full but food and service amazing - top notch pub food in the area.
Cat Inn – East GrinsteadEnjoyed a great evening at this place and the food was fantastic, the staff lovely people, will be back for sure.
Zafferellis Restaurant – Brighton and HoveThis pub has now been taken over by new management. 18th March 2015. I walked in there today, and the place just looked cleaner and cheerful. Once Jane her team get things running and the pub grub started again, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The Welcome Stranger – St. Leonards-On-SeaVisited Hastings Wetherspoons Saturday as usual Charlie and the team extremely helpful, all smiles. Went back for breakfast Sunday morning had eggs benedict, presentation suberb tastes delicious. I recommend you stop in here.
JD Wetherspoon – HastingsThe Harrison's is a great pub that serve really good tasty food, freshly prepared always busy lovely atmosphere. great value.
Harrison Ship Inn – East GrinsteadExcellent meal with good ambience too.
The Old Stables – ArundelJimmy’s is a combination of a restaurant and bar with an all you can eat buffet for an affordable price. As soon as I set foot inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was bright and welcoming. The restaurant appears a lot smaller at an initial glance whilst outside, yet inside does not compare. Instead, Jimmy’s Restaurant is spacious and quickly causes a customer (like myself) to become comfortable. With a variety of different food stations, ranging from Indian, Chinese, Italian and many more, there is so much to choose from, it is the perfect place to go to when indecisive on what kind of food to eat and allows a person to have absolutely anything instead! The restaurant offers live cooking stations, where the customer is able to choose the ingredients that they want and watch a chef cook their meal. Immediately, I was aware that my food was placed in good hands.Despite how busy the restaurant seemed, the service never faltered. They were quick to replace an empty glass or take away finished plates. It is the perfect restaurant for families, social gatherings or any kind of celebratory matter.I had an incredible time at Jimmy’s restaurant and highly recommend anyone to pay them a visit at some point, and I have repeatedly came again since that experience!
Jimmy’s Restaurants – Brighton and HoveThis header review has to be a nonsense. I have been a customer at The Cats Whiskers for at least ten years and always found it to be afriendly place with exceedingly good home cooking; the reason why so many people eat there week after week. Not only is the food so good, the pretty waitress is charming and the nice chef owner, as well as being a very good cook, has a lovely attitude. Altogether a prime little restaurant so good that it is almost always difficult to get aplacing without first booking.
The Cats Whiskers – EastbourneJust visited kingfish takeaway. Complete disaster waited thee quarters of and hour for my food. Would not recommend.
Kingfish – Haywards HeathCame here after talking to a neighbour about an experience I had at another Indian in Bognor Town. They were extremely busy but the service was spot on. Had a little laugh with the waiters and felt a quick bond with them from the second they started taking our order.Couldn't believe the prices of the food!Coming from a busy area of London where a Chicken Jalfrezi would cost about £10 to now I believe just under £4 was very impressed! While eating our main meal one of the waiters came over with a chilli paste for us to try as I ordered Jalfrezi. He told us its completely free but as he knows we like chilli food he said we should like the flavour from it.We did all try it,I absolutely loved the paste but my friend who isn't a big fan of chilli food gave it a go and ended up having to drink iced cold Water for 5 Minutes which was a laugh! The food was spot on,no oily food just perfect! End of the night the bill came to about £23 for 3 people. So will be returning here! Now if you have been reading my reviews I don't like restaurants who refurbish their restaurant and forget which country they represent !Elmer does have a lot of big pictures which have a 3d effect to them and I do really like that. The seats do need refurbishing as they look fairly old but other than that will be returning here.
Elmer Tandoori – Bognor RegisVisited Prezzo in Horsham West Sussex. Excellent meal great service.
Prezzo – ArundelVery friendly village pub which is traditional and welcoming. The staff are lovely and I really felt at home in front of the roaring fire. The food was lovely with large portions of hot and freshly cooked choices. The locals were friendly and informative. The only slight critiism was a short weight for our meals due to popularity of the pub that night!! will definitely be returning soon.
White Hart Inn – BattleWent back to the Giggling Squid in Hove after its recent refurb. They've kept all the nice stuff (i.e. the food) and revamped all the other stuff (i.e. the fixtures and fittings). Still feels nice and bistro-ey though and it's deceptively large so you can fit bigger parties in there comfortably. The chicken satay remains among the best on the south coast and the Massaman - a mild, peanut curry - is gorgeous (though it's a shame this is chicken or lamb shank only, rather than beef). Staff are lovely and it's got a wine list that doesn't make you gasp when the bill comes round. All in all the Giggling Squid is a hit, a palpable hit. Recommended.
Giggling Squid – Brighton and HoveWas just at the St Leonard’s branch. They can’t cope with the orders because of the home deliveries – so the staff told me after I complained. First of my order was massively delayed, then when they finally went to pack it they realised they hadn’t cooked the fishcake. Then when they went to prepare it the second time once the fishcake was cooked they realised one of the sausages in batter had been given away so there weren’t enough to complete my order….talk about ridiculous.I asked for some sort of refund seeing as I wasn’t able to have the order I paid for
Deep Blue Fish and Chips – St. Leonards-On-SeaWe ate at the restaurant for our wedding anniversary and we could not fault it. It was probably the best steak that I have ever had and it was cooked correctly which is quite a rare thing. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.
Bentley’s Steakhouse – Bexhill14/10/14. I went with a group of 40 or so people from Polegate and nearby areas. Our choice from the menu was taken quickly and served within half hour of arrival. First course very plentiful and very attractively presented for all choices. Main meal the same - I had roast lamb with better than average roast potatoes and a separate dish of vegetables that stayed hot throughout the meal due to hot plates. All very tasty. Then while struggling to choose from an excellent dessert selection we were offered two specials - one of which was my favourite - Pavlova - that came with crispy meringue with cream filling, a scoop of delicious strawberry ice-cream topped with a decorative biscuit and a generous portion of a decorative tasty jouet of berry fruit. All promptly served
The Moorings – PevenseyI went to the steak house twice last week, once in the evening and once at lunch time. The steak was very good, especially as I like mine blue. The staff were very friendly and the owner told me they buy their meat at Smithfields Market and then bring back the whole animal and butcher it themselves. The decor is modern and in keeping with theme of the restaurant.
