Giggling Squid – HorshamI visited this restaurant on Saturday 19th April and it was terrible. The service was terrible, I have never heard 2 waitresses say sorry as much as they did during my visit. The tables were dirty, I had to get my own cutlery, my pie was cold and when I returned it it was heated in the microwave and handed back on same dirty plate, the bread was stale and unediable. I was given half a cup of tea with no spoon to stir the sugar. Avoid Avoid Avoid
Ocean Catch – HastingsVery surprised as to how much food arrived for my lunch dish. Normally this would be followed by the quality wasn't that good but it was excellent. And for the price this really is a hidden gem in Langney shopping centre Eastbourne area, that should be on everyone's list.
Picasso Express – EastbourneThe best views around.
Brewers Fayre – Brighton and HoveI visited Memories of India on Saturday 1st March to celebrate my father in-laws retirement. Our table was booked for 8pm and we were seated at that time, we ordered drinks and poppadoms shortly after. The poppadoms and chutneys came but we had to ask for side plates and knives because the table was only half laid. We then had a 25 minute wait before we had to ask someone to take our order. After we had ordered we patiently waited, during which time we had to clear empty bottles from our table as no one was tending to them. An hour later we still had no food and neither did any of the tables around us, by this time we had had to order another round of drinks. We spoke to the manager who assured us our food would be no more than 10 minutes. 20 minutes later the food came out but they forgot the rice. We waited for the rice but by the time it came out the rest of the food was going cold. We then asked the waiter for the manager who refused to get him. We went directly to the manager with our complaint and his response was ''What do you want me to do about it?'' he then asked us ''Do you want to leave?'' Our response to this was obviously yes and we left, having to find somewhere else to eat at 9:40pm!!
Memories of India – Brighton Marina VillageGreat food, great service, lovely evening overall x
Exquis – EastbourneI went to Exquis with many of my work colleagues. It took 45 minutes to actually order our food which was disgusting. A lot of the food was luke warm and not even hot and one of my friends asked for a prawn cocktail which stated it included King Prawns in menu yet received baby prawns. When she complained to waitress, the waitress wasn't having any of it until eventually she gave a prawn cocktail with king prawns. We went to this restaurant as had been told it had good reviews. I can categorically say that we will not be going back there again and I wouldn't advise going there unless you want an all round evening of poor service, food and quality,
Exquis – EastbourneWent there yesterday. A customer paying his bill complained to staff that his meal wasn't fresh. I thought he was just being awkward, alas he was right. Whilst waiting for my order I noticed the ceilings had leaks and there was buckets to collect the water. The salt and sauce cruets were grubby and blocked. Once my order arrived I could only take a few mouthfuls of food then paid and maid a quick exit. For a seaside fish restaurant this place should be avoided at all costs.
Ocean Catch – HastingsThia green curry was today much much to thin and watery along with the two other thia should be thicker and creamy. I guess being on the hot plate it would boil thin .
Cosmo Oriental Buffet – EastbourneAfter a long time we revisited the five bells. What a change for the good. The menu was completely different to the normal type of pub food. We had fish and chips, sausages and a chicken pie all of which were cooked to perfection. We would recommend to follow with peanut butter ice cream. The welcome when we arrived was very warm and the service was excellent .We will return when we are able. We wish the new owners every success.
The Five Bells – LewesA great little place, nice and homely. Good selections of treats and sandwiches, eat in or take away. Friendly service.
Downsview Deli and Coffee Shop – HassocksHad a great meal the other day and could you tell me if you are open Christmas Day and if so give price.
Brewers Fayre – PevenseyI went with one adult and three kids (4-10) for lunch. We shared a dish which was a selection of kebabs, chicken wings and ribs served with rice and mixed salad. It was lovely very tasty well cooked and presented. Before that we had flat bread with humous and tatziki free of charge which was delicious. Lovely staff and decor i hope it does well it deserves to.
Mangal Express – EastbourneFantastic meal all the family wanted to come back next week for all the fun and good food. Mother loved the Palak Panneer, can she get the recipe? Very cheeky but she needs to know how to cook it xx
Elmer Tandoori – Bognor RegisAmazing best food and coffee.
Downsview Deli and Coffee Shop – HassocksI love Indian food and also fine dining. Normally those 2 options don't go together. However at Jali they do. I love the fact that they have atypical dishes on the menu and are Indian influenced rather than Bangladeshi like most Indian restaurants are.
Jali – HastingsAs usual brilliant food and excellant service. Been using this shop for 4 years now.
Marinos – BexhillA Nice fish and chip supper. Crispy batter. Pot of two served four due to extra teabag and hot water provided. Friendly lady served us. Premises clean. April 2013
