Goodfellows at 7B – WellsA very intimate restaurant just a few steps away from the cathedral. The kitchen is visible from the restaurant itself, which makes for interesting viewing as the meal progresses. The friendly front of house team are very knowledgeable about the food and wine and happy to recommend. We opted for the fish options and were not disappointed with one bite. Excellent flavours and ingredients, presented with flair but not pretentious. The selection of desserts was lovely and we ended our meal with a recommended dessert wine. This was our first visit to this special restaurant but it was obvious that many of the other diners were local, which is a great testament in itself. We will certainly be returning as soon as we can!
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsProbably the top restaurant in Somerset. Consistently delicious, with a well-chosen menu and attentive service. Worth the detour.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsWhat a great restaurant! It’s beautifully decorated, with some fun art and a great light open feeling, despite being small. I love that the kitchen is almost part of the restaurant and you can see what’s going on. Service was great. Attentive without being oppressive, and a bit of fun banter. The food is first class. A proper fine dining experience. It is on the pricey side. But you can see where the money is going and we all felt is was good value.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsA lovely evening meal for 4 - everyone really enjoyed each course. Highlights - scallops, chicken and strawberry soup. Great service - friendly and attentive. Will definitely return and recommend to others. Just one suggestion - we needed to ask for some bread to scrape the plates completely clean! A good sign of lovely food - but maybe the restaurant could provide bread as part of the cover charge?
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsWe recently stayed at Warrens and must say that the restaurant is tastefully furnished, the staff charming and helpful and the food generally satisfactory. On the downside waiting over twenty minutes for a mediocre soup when there are only three people in the restaurant is not acceptable and at breakfast the choice of cereals, bread and coffee is not up to expectations. Generally the good outweighed the bad
Angelina’s Restaurant – ClevedonExcellent
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonConsisting la excellent. It is always a pleasure.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsAmazing food , service professional team with complete flexibility thank you
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsWe visited recently and were absolutely bowled over with our meal. We had three courses and each one was an exquisite gastronomic delight; rounded out with the gorgeous strawberry soup for desert. The service was perfect - knowledgeable whilst also being friendly and understated. The surroundings and ambience was both relaxing and inviting and lent itself perfectly to the evening as a whole. Looking forward to our next visit already. Genuinely can't recommend The Olive Tree enough.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsLovely food and staff. Alison keeps it simple; more should because it works for most of us. Thank you as always. Peter
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonExactly what every neighbourhood needs - a straightforward restaurant serving good food in a place with a nice unpretentious approach. If you want flash or status, go elsewhere, this place is simple and honest, and the choice of fish is excellent. I found it on my last visit to Bristol, and loved it, so returned, and it didn't disappoint. Sole and Bream on the bone, both well cooked, and good starters of Mackerel pate with toast, and Calamari. None of it will change the world, and nor should it need to - just simple stuff, done well, and good service and a good ambiance. About £100 for two, with a starter and main, and a bottle of wine. So not exactly cheap, but certainly fair.
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonFabulous food. We ate the £22 two course lunch with the addition of a glass of wine for £5 and thought it was fantastic value. It was our first visit and we will definitely return. The servers were good and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsThis is one of my favourite places to eat. Relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous fresh food. Lovely staff.
Fishers Restaurant – CliftonI would reccomend this restaurant to my friends, a good start! Fridau lunchtime was quite the day we visited so quiet, but.... the food was very good
