Delicious Sunday lunch, large portions and good selection of vegetables. The Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Even took home a doggy bag. Great place.

A 'must visit' for us when we are at our Wells home in the UK. This time it was for Sunday lunch and as usual it did not disappoint. Lovely starters and divine puddings... all first class! Our main course beef was tender and pink sirloin with lovely Yorkshire puds (not just large and light but really flavoursome) and served with crispy golden roast potatoes... vegetables too were delicious... and all topped (optionally) with an outstanding rich gravy. (Special thanks too to the Olive Tree for not following the trend found at most other restaurants in Wells in offering beef only as topside - that is invariably and perhaps inevitably overcooked and dry)!

This was a real find, we were were visiting Wells for a few days and decided togo to the restaurant on our second night. It is small, intimate and tastefully decorated. Both the food and service were excellent . We really enjoyed all three courses which were beautifully presented and vert tasty.

We went on a windy, wet evening after a busy week so were delighted to be presented with good food in a warm and relaxed environment, such a contrast with the weather outside. The menu was short, which we like, but had a wide range, something to suit everyone. A great location, we will definately go back.

I booked a table for my mothers birthday . We hadn't been to Goodfellows for quite a few years due to personal circumstances and I decided to try their new venue for this event. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco and a happy birthday for my mum. The service was excellent , along with delicious food that felt wholesome and clean and a atmosphere that while busy felt personal and intimate. The meal rounded off with a small chocolate cake with 2 candles for my mother. It really made her evening special for her and I'm grateful for the thought that went into it behind the scenes. Thank you to the Goodfellows team. A really wonderful evening.

This is one of our most favourite places to eat; always an absolute pleasure and never disappoints! The whole experience is wonderful. The atmosphere and setting is stylish and welcoming, as are the staff. Fabulous food, beautifully presented. The dishes are flavourful and ample portions. The kitchen is open, and the aromas of the dishes as they’re being created is just mouthwatering! Looking forward to next time!

It was pure fluke that we came upon this restaurant on TripAdvisor the week before a visit to Wells. I can only believe it was serendipity that a table was available for the Friday night because whilst the menu looked appealing to us I could never have imagined what a magnificent culinary experience was in store! As it was a birthday celebration, we decided to go the whole hog and order the 5 course taster menu and the accompanying wine flight. We did not regret it! Every course was delicious but the sea bass with beetroot risotto was a truly outstanding dish, only narrowly bettering the superb chocolate blackcurrant dessert which was sublime and beautifully paired with a Californian Black Muscat wine. The restaurant were obliging in allowing my husband to swap his dessert for a cheese course and the dessert wine for an extra glass of Rioja. I can only exhort you to try this restaurant, it is a true jewel in the crown of this beautiful small city. Our sincere thanks goes to the restaurant for providing the highlight to our weekend.

Excellent food, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Friendly and warm welcome, prompt service ,comfortable chairs and relaxing ambience. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Will visit again.

The Sunday lunch is amazing, huge portions and delicious. I come regularly and love it here, the restaurant is great and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We have just spent the most wonderful lunchtime at Goodfellows at 7B. The hot smoked salmon starter was delicious . The cod was superb, in season and from Norway I was reliably told by Adam who found time to chat in the middle of a busy Friday service. A lovely chocolate and blackcurrant dessert to finish, yum!

Another lovely meal at The Olive Tree... Great banter with the staff and fabulous food - we will definitely be back.
