Frankie and Bennys – SwanseaA fantastic meal, proper honest cooking is alive! I had a cracking Rabbit Pie, fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. With plenty to choose from my partner tucked into a Crayfish with Smoked Salmon Salad of which I managed to pinch a mouthful of, an absolute delight (Hats off to the chef!!). The prices were very reasonable too and I would have no hesitation on returning to eat or recommending to anyone.
Trading Post, The – AbergavennyThis Inn is under new family ownership since 2006 and have done much to establish effective and practical ambience e.g they have a separate dining area where smallest of children are welcome without imposing on other customers. Service was very friendly with excellent real ales (Welsh), and a convenient range of table wines to suit all tastes. Food was cooked from fresh raw material, and it was especially fine to tackle worthwhile helpings of seafood including my favourite skate in a sauce of butter and capers. "Proper" (i.e sponge type)puddings are presented hot with either custard and/or ice cream, but a choice of less calorific fruity options was there for those watching their waistlines. We entered by chance, and left feeling replete and very comfortable. A definitive recipe of hospitality.

White Lion Inn – LlanelliJust refurbished, the pub is a far cry from the dive it once was. Beer is good, and bar staff pleasant. Food could be described as edible. Clearly bulk bought in and reheated. Nice place for a snack and a leisurely afternoon pint with a few mates. Don't expect Michelin star food though.
Pendragon Public House – CardiffOn entering this cozy little Welsh pub, we were delighted with the warmth, friendliness of locals & general "I'm at home in my own Pub!" The publicans nice young couple who certainly know 'something' about good old hospitality! Thoroughly enjoyed our all too brief stay in the area!

Royal Oak Chinese Restaurant – PontypriddI usually go every other week and the food is generally very good. But there have been a few occasions where the food and service have been very poor.
