Victoria Inn – Haverfordwestwe had a great meal at the Paddock. the dog was very welcome outside and the staff bought out a bowl of water for her. Beers were 'buy one get one free' so we stayed longer than intended! well worth a visit and we shall go back again for sure.
Paddock Inn – TenbyA well run pub/restaurant with a very wide and varied menu. Very much the centre of the local community. Make sure you get there before 2:30 if you want lunch!
Lion Inn, The – MonmouthThis was the first time i had visited this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. There is a vast menu to choose from, really spoilt for choice! The mussels were something to die for!!!!!!!!!! so good in fact i had two servings. The duck was mouth-watering and I would recommend this restaurant most highly.
Villa Napoli – Penarthwe always come to this restaurant on Sundays when are visiting family in wales, the food and service is just perfect - love the place so much. The sunday special is so cheap for what you get we always wonder how they can do it at the price.
Plaza Indian Cuisine – NeathHighly recomended. The restaurant food is amazing, the best in the area by far.
Drovers Arms – LlandeiloA little expensive for the venue but the food was very tasty. Staff a bit disorganised, it wasn't busy when we were there but it might be frustrating if it were.
Bay of Bengal – Tenbya brilliant evening will definitely recommend the best around.
Mango House – MonmouthWe have eaten here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. The food is full of flavour and not pub grub at all, yet the prices are extremely good. 6 of us ate two courses with 2 rounds of drinks for under £90. the staff are extremely friendly and attentive.
Plas Derwen – AbergavennyEvery time we've been to the Old House it's been packed out with diners and folk waiting to dine. This, I suppose, speaks for itself, and it has to be said that the good, honest food, drink and prices are attractive for a weekend meal with all of the family including the grandchildren.
Old House, The – MaestegEven better now that smoking is banned - good wholesome food (we love the corned beef pie but there's lots of very tasty choices) and the service is polite and efficient. Nice homely feel and one of our favourites.
Angel Inn – BridgendVery polite service, food good and refreshments very good. Worth a visit in the summer for the wonderful view that extends so far as Devon. Better now that smoking is banned.
Llangeinor Arms – BridgendOf the many hostelries we visit this continues to be our favourite. I believe that this is mainly due to the high quality, home-cooked style of the food - and there is a good variety to choose from. But also worthy of mention is the friendliness of not only the staff but of the clientele. Spotlessly clean and a lovely old-world atmosphere completely free of the plastic-style that scar so many pubs these days.
Nicholls Arms – BridgendSo much better now that the smokers are banned from blowing it all over our dinners (it sometimes seemed that we were the only non-smoking patrons in the dining room) But we kept the faith and regularly enjoyed and still enjoy an evening meal in The Pheasant. The staff are lovely, the food is good and wholesome with a good menu choice and best of all is the landlord's choice of wine - ask for his recommendation it's always really good.
Pheasant, The – Bridgend(PLEASE NOTE: Victoria Inn Siginstone NOT Victoria Inn Bridgend - you need to correct your index page) First thing that strikes you is the dining room - spotlessly clean and glittering with lots of highly polished cooper and brass artefacts. The service is polite, bright, efficient and courteous, the food beautifully prepared and very very tasty - and try the house red, it's delicious. This is one to keep for that special occasion especially when trying to impress - but book in advance, it filled up very quickly, and I can see why.
Victoria Inn – CowbridgeWell worth a visit - might be wise to book in the summer season, lots of holiday-makers have discovered the good food and lovely service of the Swan in Nottage
Swan Inn – PorthcawlJust been very skilfully "done-out" and the designer has, against all the odds, managed to improve on it's previous lovely ambience. Good choice of foods especially the specials and the service is always cheerful and efficient. We go there regularly and always enjoy it.
White Horse Inn, The – BridgendA pretty standard pub menu which is doubtless offered across the Brains Chain - in fact saw something almost identical in a Wetherspoons in Cardiff. It's nothing special but does represent very good value. Evening meal for myself, wife and two teenage kids for £35 including drinks (SA naturally)
