Snap Dragon – CardiffFor a traditional village pub, the food was exceptional - the variety of choice was very good and the presentation and the standard of food was excellent.
The Red Lion – Newportoutstanding
Stone Mill – Monmouthoutstanding
Stone Mill – MonmouthAn extremely nice pub/restaurant. Food was absolutely gorgeous and the service provided was 110%.received especially good service from a young man with quite a few tattoos. a+++
Toby Carvery – CaerphillyWe have recently returned to this hotel to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, 12 years after holding our wedding reception. We didn't think it possible but the food is even better there now, and reasonably priced £29.50 for 3 courses, plenty of choice & local/Welsh produce used extensively. Oh and the pink champagne was a hit too!
Windsor Lodge Hotel and Restaurant – SwanseaI was surprised at the excellent value for money, The quality of the food, the presentation and indeed the wonderful meal in an atmosphere, that added to the proprietors warm and friendly welcome, made my visit one to remember, the ambience of an Olde world antique filled hostelry, took me back to a place in time many people long for; i heartily recommend the Welshman’s arms and hope to return shortly.
Welshmans Arms, The – TenbyI was told about the butterflies by some friends. So tried it out with four friends was very surprised the choice of food on the menu the staff are very nice nothing was to much trouble the food was great and the price for the evening was great like to wish them all the best and we will be going back again to work our way through the menu
Butterflies – PontypoolIt is 3 years since we visited this great village, but the Cnapan was an excellent all round eating experience then, long may it continue. We are looking forward to going back in August this year - floods allowing, Ann Rugby
Cnapan Restaurant – NewportWe went to Mykonos Restaurant to celebrate a friends retirement, we could not have been better looked after the food was out of this world the ambience was direct from Greece only one problem the restaurant was a little difficult to find as it is hidden away in the wall that surrounds the town of Tenby.
Mykonos Restaurant – TenbyThe most impressive Chinese restaurant in Cardiff-I'm not just saying that, just ask any regular that goes there. I have lived in Cardiff for over 20 years, tried and tested all new and old Chinese restaurants that has come and gone within that time frame and I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say there isn't/hasn't been another Chinese that comes close to this place. The flavours are incredible, decor is understated (which makes a refreshing change from all the often over indulged new places), each dish ordered to consistently tasty (no bland food served here), service is fast and friendly and the price is even better. I almost regret writing this as the Swallow is my, and Cardiff's best kept secret.
Swallow, The – CardiffExcellent venue. Wonderful staff. Chiefy the chef is outstanding. Peter the poacher works miracles. Ask to see his piercing. Sam and Kath are both wonderful. Flexible hrs. Always busy. Booking advisable most times.Wish I was there now!!!!!
Nags Head Inn – Newcastle EmlynSimon does a good job in the Kitchen
Manselton Hotel – SwanseaI loved this restaurant and the staff and managers are amazing they are all very helpful and friendly. Whatever questions you have to ask they will always try their hardest to help and give an answer politely. The entertainment is fantastic on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will go back anytime. Gareth Sherlock is the best bar man there so if you want an excellent pint of beer I suggest that you request for him to pull it for you!!! He is such a lovely guy.
Fontygary Inn, The – BarryI have to disagree totally with the last recommendation. We waited a long time for our food which we could see for a long time sat on top of the grill but the manageress was far too busy chatting with her colleagues to notice. Also the music was extremely loud. Ok if you want cheap food and everywhere else is fully booked.
Frankie and Bennys – CardiffLovely little pub on the banks of the river towy, friendly landlord and good value food.
Towy Bridge Inn – LlandoveryI recoMmend The cedar tree, top one, good food with drink and a very well trained staff!
Toby Carvery – CaerphillyGreat location, overlooking Tenby North beach. Multiple covers, so the table was cleared before you had finished. We were then told people were waiting and would we mind hurrying! Shame really because the food was lovely and spicy and the view was great.
