If you are looking for a quiet dining experience forget it, every time I’ve been here it’s always been noisy and seems to be popular with children’s birthday parties. The food on the other hand is good.

Frankie and Bennys – CardiffLovely traditional style with and pleasant and efficient service and good home-cooked food - the beef and ale pie, for example, was really tasty. Good selection of beers, the guest beers, Bass and Hancock's HB, were superb and the house red was also very good. As a bonus the car parking opposite the pub is plentiful and convenient
Fox and Hounds – BridgendDined at this place a few times now, nice dining areas and the food is very good. Although its major downfall is quite often dishes on the menu are unavailable which can be disappointing.
Plas Derwen – AbergavennyThe staff at Fagin's Mint Restaurant in Church village are very friendly and efficient and the food is excellent. No soggy overcooked vegetables here! How good it is to have a decent eating place in this area. We are regular customers and wish the chef and his staff good luck with their new venture.
Fagins Church Village – PontypriddWe found this place by chance having seen it advertised on a roundabout. We had an excellent meal that was obviously cooked to order, the wine we selected was extremely good quality for the price. There is a superb seating and smoking area outside where we could watch the children safely play. We visited again but on a Sunday-what a lunch it was brilliant-the gravy was outstanding. Highly Recommended !
Glenbrook Inn – BarryWent on a Friday night, only 2 other tables in the restaurant. service was lovely and friendly but shame the food was not to par. Everything is served on a large bed of wilted iceberg lettuce and looks very bland.
Giovanni’s On The Hayes – Cardiffvery good all round service. staff were helpful and knowledgeable. food was excellent, cooked to perfection and presented well. the Morfa Parc is decorated. with surprisingly good taste. the table arrangements are good with a feeling of privacy given by careful positioning. altogether a really nice place to eat and relax.
Morfa Parc Harvester – SwanseaThis is my regular curry Restaurant as it is consistently good. Service is great and the food outstanding!
Jaflon – Penarthas i said in an earlier e-mail, i am going through the menu i have just gone there for sunday dinner exellent.plenty of every thing on the table three course, and to top it of cheese and crackers to finish, all for ten pounds what more do you want, a lie down i thinkto sleep off the meal
Butterflies – Pontypoolthe food service on the recent saturday night that we attended as a party was excellent, but if it wasnt for the middle aged waitress with short dark hair, we would still be waiting for our drinks
The Scotch Pine Inn – Ammanforda very pleasant evening
Plough and Harrow Inn, The – AmmanfordThe wine list is like nothing I've seen before. It's more like a bible than a wine list. The setting is fantastic and the service is even better.
Fairyhill – Swanseaexcellent food quality, excellent food service, bar staff could be improved, overall a very pleasant experience
Plough and Harrow Inn, The – AmmanfordThis restaurant has one of the best special board's for fish that I have ever experienced. It's quite a small venue though so it's advisable to book.
P.A.s Wine Bar – SwanseaThere isn't anything you can fault about this restaurant, the choice of food is amazing and it is all cooked fresh to order. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are more than happy for you to ask for variations to what is on the menu especially handy when taking children. Excellent value for money and the wine is also reasonably priced.
Sam Pan Chinese and Cantonese Cuisine – SwanseaWe hadn't booked a table originally, and were worried as the front car park was full, we drove round the back to the second car park and found just one space left (The last time we came here you could park anywhere, it was dead!!. Upon arrival we were greeted by a young gentleman behind the bar, who spoke very well for his young age, and he introduced us to David the new owner. We were seated in the 'Bar', which had a lovely large fire place and dark red walls.. the setting was fantastic with just the right lights and candle light on the table. I had the 'French Brie' to start (which oozed into my mouth with remarkable texture) and my wife had the ' Soup of the day' (A fantastic pea and mint), for main I had the 'Salmon' beautifully spiced with cajun taste, and my wife had the very succulent 'Pork Tenderlin'.. with not much room left to eat we decided to share a 'Sticky Toffee Pudding' and it was by far the nicest I have ever tasted. Fantastic food in a lovely setting, We shall definitely be back again.. and encourage all to do so!
The White Hart Village Inn – MonmouthIt was lovely! The bar man Rob was a real joy to associate with i can see why he is senior bar man. On the otherhand the landlord Raymond was very shoddy and the children were dysfunctional. I reccommend to go on a Tuesday as the landlord is not in.
