Crown Inn, The – NeathReview 2 Situated in City Road the newly opened Mezzaluna offers a peaceful heaven minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Cardiff’s busy city centre. Welcoming, friendly and informative, the service at Mezzaluna reflects the traditional Lebanese approach to good food and fine wine.
Mezza Luna – CardiffI can not compliment this pub enough, The food has that home cooked feeling, but at the same time you know your eating out, the staff were attentive and the hostess could not do enough to please, well done. This has been my first visit and i will make a point of going there next time I am in Port Talbot

Angel Inn – BridgendBeen going to the REV [as locals call it] for the past 15 years. The staff have always been superb nothing is to much trouble. The menu changes every 6 months and is a mixture of new and old classics and there is a specials board. They also have a monthly special which consists of a meal and a pint. For rugby/football fanatics they have a large screen TV which you can request to be on, we go down and book a table for about 20 on the champions league at the atmosphere is fantastic. If you like rugby the world cup in the REV is unbelievable special dishes put on for the game.
Reverend James, The – SwanseaHave been going here for a couple of years and the place just gets better you are made to feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door, if it is quiet you possibly have your own waiter and if they a re very busy they still make sure that you are given the best service. Food is of the highest standard and now with no smoking the place is a heaven for proper curry lovers not your 12.30 need a curry time but they will accommodate you if you want one. EXCELLENT.
Raduni – SwanseaCracking grub! :)
Artramont Arms – HaverfordwestThis is the best restaurant I ever been to whilst living in Cardiff. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic especially the service because there was one young waiter who was really friendly, he looked like he had something to do with the business. Gotta be best restaurant easily. The restaurant is the first Indian restaurant in South Wales to receive the investor in people award, that was for their quality of food and service. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who’s looking to dine in a modern contemporary cuisine.
Balti Empire Restaurant – CardiffI've eaten here many times and am always impressed with their Thai menu. They have a sister pub in the centre of Tenby which I haven't eaten at but the menu is similar. Because I've always been there during school holiday periods (on holiday!) it's sometimes a bit hit and miss on the other items but the kids love their Spag Bol. They don't take credit cards.
Paddock Inn – TenbyMy wife and I were looking for a quality meal while on a short break in Saundersfoot. We had our infant son with us, and while most pubs allow children, we were told by a local that the "Mermaid" were very child friendly. We ordered what was described as "Baby Dinner" for James, to arrive with our starters, the logic being to fill the baby first to allow us to enjoy our mains without interruption. In all honesty we ordered it because it was cheap, as a full kid's meal is either inappropriate for a 13 month old, or will in the whole be wasted. What arrived was exactly how you would recycle your home cooked roast dinner for an infant. Potatoes, carrots and peas, mashed up into a wonderful meaty gravy. It smelt so good I nearly ordered an adult portion! However had I done so I would have missed out on a truly wonderful meal. I had the "Rib Sampler" a small portion of pork ribs, as a starter, followed by one of the best swordfish steaks I have eaten anywhere in the world, probably the best in this country. My wife had the homemade onion rings followed by Scampi. While I know every pub in the country offers Scampi, Claire is adamant that these were fresher or just "better" than elsewhere. The quality of the food and the welcome by the staff lead us to dine there the following evening, when I reversed my choices to a fish starter and meat main. Still delighted. I would recommend this establishment to anyone, in fact my in-laws have already earmarked a visit next month. In my ratings I have described the cost as modest. I know this is subjective, but quality is never cheap. However I believe the mermaid offers good value. Our first evening cost around £50 including drinks and James' meal, which he demolished! For a quality meal in nice surroundings, I believe that is value. At the end of the day you can see the prices outside before you commit to a table. If you plan on spending £20 or so a head, please treat yourself, you won't be disappointed. P.S. I've never submitted a review before, that's how impressed I was!
