Group booking there on Saturday for my hen do and couldn't fault it. Just enough food and tasty as normal. If I had to find fault it was that they didn't clear the empty glasses very often!

La Tasca – Cardiff
BG

Bad food, bad service and a waste of time & money.

Old Pharmacy Restaurant, The – Haverfordwest

There was a cat roaming on top of the tables, need I say more? The service was the worst I've ever experienced. We were completely neglected and they never even said a word when they took away my full plate of risotto which was not edible. The atmosphere was strange and cold and dirty and there is a total lack of management here.

Druidstone – Haverfordwest

This restaurant might have been good at one time and the atmosphere is cozy & romantic, but the food really left something to be desired. The fillet was over-cooked and was served with a displeasing sauce. The vegetables were bland and tasteless. Even the so called herbal tea was messed up because they gave me chamomile with vanilla & honey when all I asked for was Chamomile. The staff are a mix of pleasant and snobby depending on who serves you, and they're too busy to attend to each table. The bread wa served cold and the wait was long to be seated to the table. They even messed up my drink order by giving me ice when I specifically asked for no ice. There were dead bugs in the bathroom and the tiles are uneven so the doors stick. I was very disappointed in Jabajak and as a personal chef, I couldn't recommend this resaurant to anyone with a discerning palate.

The Tilers Arms is a lovely pub and has brought eating out back to Blaina! Food is superb but I need more selection of cheesecake for my addiction!! Service is great and I would recommend this Pub to anyone.

I don't recommend that you go there it was crap

Greenfield Inn, The – Llanelli
Mrs Edwards

What a fabulous place to eat and enjoy top quality food and really fantastic service to match. The menu is always interesting and totally fresh and organic. The restaurant before was terrible with a horrible reputation but now the new owner and managers have really transformed it into a highly recommended and lovely place to eat and drink with all the attributes that one expects in such a great location and setting. Truly recommended for families, parties or just a small social outing.

I had tortillas with melted cheese on top. I think there were jalapeno peppers in there too but I was sooooo drunk I may be wrong. Anyway, I yummed it up. Jazz on a sunday afternoon is nice. Barmaids are very nice too - except for one!

Hen and Chickens – Abergavenny

Fantastic value for money, very warm and friendly, with a mouthwatering menu. Cant wait to go back

this very homely country like family run pub was of the highest quality....from the polite staff to the exquisite taste of the home cooked meals. this pub comes with the highest recommendations one can give and i will definitely be re-visiting time after time after time....10/10

I would consider the amount of delicious, piping hot food served to be extremely modestly priced (I live in the city of Hull East Yorkshire and would be hard pressed to find something of comparable standards at that price, within a choice of hundreds of restaurants / food pubs to choose from! My only criticism would be that on a Saturday night when the kitchen is busy grilling to order (or any other busy night) the dining room gets a bit smoky, a lovely young waitress did open some windows for us but later sitting guests asked for them to be closed. I don't know, however, how easy it would be to improve the ventilation in such an old building

Vine Tree Inn – Abergavenny

Highly recommended for quality of food, beautiful rural location and informal atmosphere. Recipient of numerous awards. We had the lunch menu - excellent confit of duck, great steak, and also good vegetarian rissotto. Lamb shank was superb with a jus reduction that was to die for. All local or home grown sourced ingredients. Great wine list, also good beers and organic cider. Cost averaged at £30 per head for 3 course meal. Slight drawback was rather lackadaisical service, but not bad enough to detract from the food. Highly recommended.

Although the good staff service proved to be the focal point of my visit, it is with regret that this will be my only visit to the Vine Tree. We waited 40 minutes for our starter to arrive and then my food wasn't as hot as I'd have liked. My main course at £10 for the vegetarian option was a concoction of god knows what (everything but the nut roast it was advertised as !) Staff were told of my dissatisfaction for quality of food, though no apology or feedback from the chef ever came back to me ~ charming ! I won't be going back in a hurry !

La Marina - No Babies Please! We went Sunday for lunch. I took my 2-year-old but alas no high chair despite that when I booked the table for 4 I mentioned that the 4th member of our party was age 2. If they had mentioned that there was no chair I could have brought my portable one. Also no changing facility so I had to lie my baby on the floor in a toilet to change him which shocked a few of the other ladies in the WC saying that it was awful that I had to get on my knees to change him and he was on a cold hard and dirty floor. When I asked about both these issues I was told that the manager/owner isn't too fond of children and therefore doesn't want to encourage customers to bring them out for Sunday lunch so he doesn't provide anything for the parents as this may be seen as encouragement. Meal was very nice, the pudding I ordered never came and another table’s drinks were added to our bill, which they amended but I won't go back. I prefer to go somewhere on a Sunday that my whole family is welcome to go to, incidentally my 2 year old is a gem to have in a restaurant and isn't a fusspot. We have dines in some of the best restaurants in London, Newport and Cardiff with him with no trouble. Not having a high chair made it imposable for me to fully relax and enjoy my own meal despite the fact that it tasted nice it wasn’t worth the bother!

First you have to get a table .The Restaurant was full for weeks in advance. The Service was quirky (pleasant and human) not your usual pompous formality. The Location and Restaurant itself was breathtaking -inspiring table design with Sunset. The food Perfect.

This is a great place to stay, very friendly atmosphere, the B&B is very comfortable and the added advantage of a pub below. The quality of the food is outstanding, breakfast was lovely and there is a great menu for the pub and bar. Cannot fault this place at all. Coasting Pilot is located in nice area with beach very close by for some great walks. Would recommend this as a great break to anyone
