Masala – LlanelliWe recently visited Alfreds Bar & Grill and had an awful evening, the staff were badly trained and cleared the table before all of the party had finished eating, even leaning over one of us who was still trying to finish their meal We complained and the owners father was extremely rude. We were visiting this area and would certainly not recommend this bar for the service and hospitality that this region is famous for.
Alfreds Bar and Grill – Pontypriddthe met is an excellent place to eat, we had a lovely meal and drink. excellent value. in the evening we returned and the place was transformed into a live music party venue....superb.
Metropolitan, The – Llanellihave eaten at this indian and their new place in westgate street, cardiff and both are exceptional. good service, good food and a nice family type atmosphere. cant recommend it enough.
Mango House – Monmouthwhat a fantastic meals we had there on last weekend.very nice.service was excellent food was great.masala is the best in town.they deserve the welsh curry awards.
Masala – LlanelliA thoroughly disappointing experience. 15 of us booked but weren't allowed to sit together even though they were able to accommodate this. Paid £14 for a stir fry which was nothing more than a palmful of rice and four slices of duck. It was the first time ever that I was actually hungry after eating at a restaurant. The cheeseboard with the large port was an instant laugh for everyone as I have never seen such a small glass in all my life. If you wanted ice cream or cream with your dessert you had to pay extra. To top it all off we weren't allowed any coffee because our table had been booked for another sitting! We were asked to pay as quickly as possible and move downstairs - a waiter stood over our table to make sure this happened. A costly and poor night out.
Alfreds Bar and Grill – PontypriddThe restaurant was clean waitress looked a bit dirty on the whole nice place to go.
Balti Palace – Merthyr TydfilOn a Saturday evening three out of the five "specials" and the first choices from the main menu were all sold out leaving little but burgers, steaks and pasta bake . Having quietly complained to the waiter that one of the steaks was not well done but burned black ( to a thickness of 5mm all round ) we were advised by the manageress that " this was how our customers like them ". With a large banner proclaiming "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT " outside it can only be inferred that the change at this formerly reliable eatery has not been for the better .

Masala – LlanelliNow generally the standard of food in South Wales is good and it is very rare that I do find a restaurant which is worthy of a poor review. Having visited the Ynyscynon on a previous occasion and had a very poor meal indeed I felt that perhaps it was a one off and a review at this time was inappropriate so I had to return for a second time. The Ynyscynon having previously known as The Golden Post now has an Indian Restaurant on one side and a Pub restaurant on the other side. Whilst the glorious smell from the Indian side should have persuaded me to enter there my other guests were not indian eaters so we decided on the pub side..... Boy was I wrong again..... I decided that I would have a chicken starter which turned out to be unavailable and therefore I opted for a prawn coctail and to be honest that was OK but you can't really go wrong with a prawn cocktail. There was no soup for starters and when asked about that they replied that never have and it is only available on a Sunday Lunch. Perhaps a few tins from Asda may not go amiss. Main Course was a great T bone steak cooked medium to rare and whilst the steak and the chip portions were good the steak was the opposite. It was well done and would be better placed on a sole of my shoes and OK perhaps the chef didn't hear it right and they did say sorry and that they would replace it. Then two minutes later my steak was return and I could see why it was returned in two minutes as it was just shown the grill on two side and when I cut into it it was very very rare and I am sure I heare it mooooo ...... When I spoke to the waitress again and said that it was very rare she said well that's how my brother likes it and he likes it medium rare. To which I replied that beleve it or not I am not her brother..... I decided not to have any dessert myself but the people on the other table complained that their cheesecake was very dry and a little stale. So all in all I guess my second visit was not a great success and to be honest I do not think that I will be returning for a third (unless it is to the Indian restaurant next door). So on reflection I would only be able to give 2 out of 10 for the food as they did do the prawn cocktail OK.
Ynyscynon Inn, The – AberdareYummy!!!!
Ginger – CarmarthenWould recommend. Had a fantastic meal and the service was impeccable. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience.

Corporation, The – CardiffNever been disappointed in all the years I have dined there. The new look to the restaurant gives a very calm feel to the atmosphere. The staff are always a pleasure to see, best curry restaurant in Newport by a mile!!
Shoboraj Indian Cuisine – NewportFour of us visited this restaurant for a birthday night out with a friend. We found it very pricey for what we got. The food was very bland for an Italian restaurant, I ordered mushrooms in a creamy sauce to start with and they tasted like tinned mushrooms to me, and the sauce had no flavour at all. My husband asked for a well done steak which came dripping with blood. The service wasn't the best either, we were just left for most of the evening, nobody checking to order us more drinks etc. Would definitely never go there again, and we are not actually fussy people!! The tattoo covered hands of the owner (or we presumed he was the owner anyway) were not too classy either!
Bella-Capri – CaerphillyWe ate at the butchers a weekend ago, this place is the real deal and portions that are like they used to be the quality of food is exceptional and quality of meat is better than most restaurants we have eaten in, nothing is too much trouble. The venue is of the beaten track a little but that just adds to the butchers charms, we will definitely we returning and we will make sure we don't eat anything all day.
Butchers Arms – CarmarthenDisgusted! Overpriced. Bar staff were miserable! Got to be the worst pub in the UK!
Green Bridge Inn – Carmarthenoverall it could have been better.
