Juboraj Restaurant – CardiffI say the cost was pricey, merely for the fact that the waiters were arrogant and rude. I have been here three times but never again. If you like a poor and argumentative service with the constant sound of indian talk when you order when each employee is more than capable of speaking english then eat here, if not then id go the extra mile and try elsewhere.
Killay Tandoori – Swanseavery good sunday lunch - good value and service. Beers too are excellent
White Hart Inn – CaerphillyMy husband and I went to Scalinis for lunch. Despite being only one of only two tables occupied the food was very disappointing. My salmon resembled a fishfinger in size and taste and my husbands veal milanese had been burned on one side but turned over so you didnt notice. Italian restaurant food in Cardiff is average at best but this was by far the most overrated and expensive we have eaten in. I dont mind paying if the food is good and have even enjoyed meals where an average meal has been compensated for by superb service - this place was dire on all fronts. Beefeater food at Park Plaza prices.
Scalinis Restaurant – CardiffExcellent food, the Steak "Sizzler" was absolutely sizzling, but I like my food served hot. Family had mexican Burridos, very tasty and filling.
Lifeboat Tavern, The – TenbyI must say a very pleasant evening, sure did open my eyes and made it a worthwhile and see it for yourself experience. Food outstanding the steaks in particular!
Rhoswenallt Inn – Aberdare10 ounce sirloin steak and real scampi.for under £5 each. the chips were real potato. fantastic!
Colliers Arms – Swanseathe food is delightful and the service is always lovely a real treat to eat there
Masons Arms – Maestegthis is the best pub/restaurant in the local area around neyland with excellent food and service and great atmosphere, plenty of room for the kids with an enclosed safe playing area outside close to the beer garden, plenty of parking space.
Rose and Willow – TenbyMy family and i recently visited morfa parc for a birthday celebration the waitress was very helpful and always at hand, Our meals was great apart from the children's we asked for a veggie burger came back as a bacon cheese burger explained this to the duty manager who was named as Gareth but we didn't get any luck with him his attitude was awful didn't have any time for us or any others spending time and money at the restaurant, which made our visit our first and last. You don't expect to see that attitude and no apology off a manger.
Morfa Parc Harvester – SwanseaGreat food, fab service and desserts to die for. Managers very helpful as were staff. would come back again and again. loved it!!!!!!!!!
Frankie and Bennys – CardiffA glass of wine was priced way over the top.As someone who has been in the business for 30 years I was amazed at such high prices in this area.
The Hardwick – Abergavennyon our holiday to west wales we found the white hart thatched inn and brewery it was amazing the family which own it are so friendly the food is freshly cooked to order as you can see the chefs cook it in front of you in the open kitchen beer is also made there to a secret family recipe the 600 year old inn is like a museum in itself truly a step back in time my kids played for ages in the large gardens giving us time to look around and enjoy if ever you are lucky enough to be going to west wales i would recommend you stop yet again outstanding
White Hart Thatched Inn and Brewery, The – CarmarthenThe Gallery is a fantastic place. Food, wine, staff and atmosphere are all great- i'm yet to find a fault. The price of the food was always good value considering the ingredients used, (scallops, venison, etc, but since their recent change of menu in the summer it is now fantastic value for money. A superb 3 course meal for 2 with wine came to under £50. My favourite thing about the Gallery is the atmosphere and decor- it's a fantastic place to relax in. Wishing you all the best of luck for the future.
Gallery Restaurant Bar and Exhibition Space – Barrywe arrived and had to wait ages for a table, the staff seemed clueless, no management, the table was dirty, even though it was quiet. the food was returned because one meal was cold and the other was the wrong order. the other 2 customers in the pub seemed to be highly intoxicated. I was very disappointed.
The Farmers Arms – NewportFantastic food and excellent service! No complaints from this place as it has everything you would want in a pub. Opened as 2 for 1 which seems to be working pretty good, which I can vouch for! Starter, Main Course & Dessert were all fantastic and no complaints! Great family pub.
Pentre Gwilym House – CardiffAte here last night, best meal I've had in a long time, and I like good food! Hope to visit next week for my 50th birthday but I live in Bristol. Will try to get there though.
Mythos Restaurant – ChepstowDee must have gone to a completely different place than us. The garlic bread (1 tiny slice per portion) was burnt, the chips were like cardboard and the steaks only ok. We were the only customers in there, although a couple more arrived before we had finished. The owner took great pleasure in running down the local competition - not very professional and not very wise. We hadn't been in the restaurant for a number of years and doubt we will ever be returning. We certainly don't mind paying for good food, but there are restaurants in Newport where the food is much nicer and value for money better even if the overall price is higher (although even that is not always the case). Time to breathe new life into the decor and to boost your own reputation with excellent food and presentation rather than running down the competition. ciao.
