Yr Hen Dafarn – CarmarthenHaving been in the area for many years now, word of mouth led me back to the glen. with the understanding that there was a new rejuvenated catering team in place, my wife and i dined. with canopes on arrival, pleasant music, and a menu to suit every taste, a wide selection of choice with its many specials. the food was fantastically presented and tasted divine, my wife ate the chicken ballotine and i a plain old boring steak, the flavours were magnificent. well done to the new chef, we return regularly now as do many of our friends, by far the nicest eatery within pembrokeshire

Plantagenet House – Tenbyhaving eaten at the foresters oaks over a period of years, i must say unfortunately, it has diminished in its usually high standards over the past 6 or so months. less friendly, less consistent with it s standards my family and myself will no longer be dining within this establishment
Foresters Oaks Country Inn and Leadons Brasserie, The – NewportNawab was on ITV wales on the some like it hot program, thought i would take my husband and children there. It was busy when we went there, will go again as the food was very nice. I would definitely recommend them to people i know. 9/10. is my rating.
Nawab Tandoori Restaurant – SwanseaDisappointing experience - smartly dressed friendly staff @ one of Bridgend premier Indian restaurants - regrettably the food failed to match the surroundings & service - Chicken Passanda was weak, lacking depth & flavour - Tandoori Supreme manifested in 2 pieces of chicken tikka, 1 piece of lamb tikka & 2 average size king prawns all lacked flavour and the essential tandori / barbacue taste @ £14.00 this dish was not value for money - all 7 main dishes ordered were small in portion and lacking definition, taste and depth of flavour - regrettably won't be returning or recomending

Plantagenet House – TenbyRecently dined at this pub/restaurant for the'early bird' menu as part of a group of 15. The staff were excellent and accommodating to every ones specific needs, the atmosphere was perfect and the food was possibly the best that I had ever experienced.
Foresters Oaks Country Inn and Leadons Brasserie, The – NewportMy family and i always end up going to the mermaid because the food is lush and the service is great, it has fab views and is def the best place to eat for miles(im glad im a local!)
Mermaid on the Strand – TenbyMerola's is the best Italian Restaurant in Cardiff. It's a family run restaurant. Staff are friendly and polite. Food is fab, recommend the Italian Pepper Sausage in Napolitana Sauce with Garlic Bread to Start. Main, a nice calzone with spinich, ham and mushroom, mmmmm it's lush and for afters, it's got to be the cheesecake.
Merolas – CardiffWent on the recommendation of a work colleague and it more than exceeded my very high expectations . I had the Cawl which was absolutely delicious - The steaks looked exceptional. Very good range of wines including some good pudding wines to go with your dessert Staff were really attentive - Quite rightly full on what was a cold windy and quiet night
Mimosa Kitchen and Bar – Cardiffold fashioned pub with old fashioned people who was very clicky, dont bother stay at home
Lamb Hotel – AberdareThe most beautiful food in south wales,what more can i say! Its well presented and the staff are friendly, well worth every penny. even when its busy (i expect to wait) but there is no wait, its amazing and if you need a table they will try there best to get you one as soon as possible you care to them. I recommend it to every one all ages.
Coldra Beefeater Restaurant and Pub, The – NewportWe have had Sunday lunch there several times and been very satisfied. It's good home cooking and plenty of it in a lovely atmosphere. I always book a couple of days in advance because it is very popular.
Riflemans Arms – Pontypoolthe food was lovely and really enjoyed the atmosphere. there was a great little area for the toddlers to keep themselves busy.
