When ever I visit New Quay we always make a point of having a meal at the Brasserie, normally on a weekend so the Sat' night curry after a few welsh pints is great! Flavor is moreish and they do a great chicken dansack, yum yum!
Royal India Brasserie – New QuayDefinitely a place to be avoided. Five of us went on a recent Saturday night and waited an hour and a half to get food. The price level is way above the quality and ambiance of the place. Worst of all, when we commented on the slow service, we were told that everyone else was happy with everything. This was obviously not true from observing others eating. I am beginning to believe that there is vote rigging going on with a local publication which gives local restaurants awards. Many people I have talked to share my view that this is a very poor restaurant, living on past glories.
Chez Giovanni Restaurant – NewportBest Italian food in Cardiff by a country mile. The staff were friendly and helpful, the design of the restaurant and bar were modern and comfortable, yet didn't break the bank! Recommend to anyone and everyone.
Kallabella Restaurant – CardiffIf you want quantity then this is the place for you. If it's quality you're after then look elsewhere. Very average food in a dingy, ill lit room. Glass of wine from the bar was in a small bottle, inadequately chilled. We would rather go hungry than return here.

Bryncoch Inn – NeathI had an absolutely fantastic meal here. I love my food - especially desserts and I found the selection on the menu more than satisfactory. The environment is cozy, warm and welcoming. We received quick and super friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!

Spice Connoisseur, The – CardiffI have visted The Ship Inn over the last 21 Years. I have seen this place at it's best and at it's worst. The current owner "Brains Brewery" has to be by far the worst occupier this little gem of a pub has ever had. The staff are rude, uncooperative and inexperienced in the running of this pub. The spirit of Tresaith is dead without this pub, it has been the focal point of the village and wider community for decades and within a few months, 'Brains Staff' have killed it off - hey what else is it good for, other than a TAX LOSS. DON'T VISIT THE SHIP INN TRESAITH, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO ABERPORTH - It has a Ship Inn and it is run by a family, with spirit.

Cros Inn, The – HengoedCosy authentic pub . Lovely atmosphere , well presented , fresh flowers , lit candles . Staff are very friendly and cater to individual needs . Wide variety of meals and puddings to chose from , which alter weekly. Homemade Pies and REAL CHIPS!Excellent value for money , portions are large , two meals for £9.99 during some weekday evenings - bargain . Worth a visit!

Le Monde – Cardiffate in the bistro here for evening meal and lunch on a recent stay and the food was top notch and prices really reasonable. Had garlic mushrooms on toasted brioche/ asparagus and mild mushroom risotto to start / pork loin steaks with peppercorn and brandy cream sauce/goats cheese filo parcels with honey and thyme, dark chocolate fondue for sweet - to die for! wine list also good and reasonable, nice atmosphere - would recommend this place. found staff delightful.
