Merola's is definitely the best restaurant in Wales. Speiro always makes you feel welcome and always remembers your face whether you were there the night before or the year before. The atmosphere is always relaxed and pleasant and the food is gorgeous. My favourite 3 course meal is white bait to start with Pollo Cesare (which is chicken topped with ham & cheese in a homemade tomato sauce) for main and to finish homemade tiramasu. Simply the best. All for under £20 great value for money.

Had food poisoning for 3 weeks after a meal here. I have heard that it is supposed to be a good Indian but two others in the party had to go to the Doctors for food poisoning - I'll never go again.

rubbish hospitality, not recommended in the slightest. didn't even have a chance to eat the food as our table had been cancelled by themselves. We where told we could eat there, If we wanted an hours wait. No drinks offered for their mistake ad nowhere to sit, They tried to blame on us and even denied us making the booking saying that we had booked elsewhere. Our name and number was clearly in their book scribbled out. Ruined a birthday surprise!

I have eaten here on numerous occasions in 2008, the last time was during December 2008 on a Wednesday when there was a singer also after the meal.The surroundings are very clean, the conservatory an added bonus to the restaurant, particularly pleasant during the summer time.The meals are very tasty,mixed with surroundings and a singer on some nights,the restaurant is highly recommended for a night out.

Myself and my husband regularly have a sit in meal and also a takeaway from this restaurant. Although the restaurant is in dire need of a lick of paint, the service is first class with waiters on hand immediately at your beck and call, the first is absolutely fantastic and is highly recommended.If your first time at this restaurant,try and ignore the surroundings as the food makes up for it completely, and also the prices are VERY reasonable.

Best pub food in the whole of Swansea! The Garlic breaded mushrooms were to die for. Let me tell ew.

The railway is a real gem of a place, modern decor in keeping with the building's character, great friendly but professional service and a high standard of food. Have been there twice for a Sunday lunch, and enjoyed it equally both times. The starters are more than generous portions, (definitely recommend the home made pate), the main meal again generous portions, with real fresh tasting food (recommend the welsh lamb which melts in your mouth). A wide choice of mixed vegetables are served with the main, again all fresh and cooked to perfection. A good choice of desserts rounded off the meal nicely. All in all, at approx £16 per head for three courses, would definitely recommend and will be going back again.

i visited frankie & benny's on the tuesday and it was fantastic. they were having an elvis themed night which was totally unexpected but was well worth the surprise. All the staff were in fancy dress and the restaurant was in theme as well. I want to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff that made my mums birthday so special. My waitresses was so attentive to my children and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend the place to everyone. Good food and service is so important these days due to the credit crunch.

Had a meal on Saturday 24.01.09 it was fantastic, taste and presentation excellent, already booked to go again. Would recommend it to anyone who loves foods, fantastic value for money and lovely staff

the new overlander provides you with a beautifully cooked and presented ,piping hot meal ,reasonably priced,in a very relaxed comfy friendly environment.everything is first class. this was our first visit but it wont be our last.can recommend you stay in the hotel too,excellent facilities.

OMG!!!! - this is amazing. These guys are trying sooo hard. Food was wicked and really good value for money and while we were there the Landlord showed us the newly converted guest rooms which are absolutely stunning. We were so impressed we've booked to go back here for Valentines day. Really nice place too - small town near Abergavenny on the banks of the canals - went for a walk after dinner A1.

We have been to Stefanos twice, January '08 and '09 both on Saturday evenings, to celebrate a friend's birthday. Both times, the food and service were excellent. In Jan '08, surprised to see lentils on the menu, I ordered this intriguing dish and to my pleasure it was one of the most delicious meals ever. I complimented the chef who, I was amused to see, was Chinese, not Italian. He said that sage was the magic ingredient. On this second occasion, we arrived a little later at around 9pm and the restaurant was fairly empty. Fortunately, we were in a group so that didn't matter but for a couple, there would have been a lack of atmosphere. I enjoyed seabass which was cooked just right. For an annual special treat with good friends, I don't mind paying £37.00 per head (starter, main course and wine) but normally that would be too expensive for me.

overly big portions, cheap wine. Not expensive but good atmosphere... Not what I want from eating out. Although several of my friends love it.
