Planet Aroma Indian Restaurant – BlackwoodGreat Food, got to be up there with the best
Barley Mow Inn – CowbridgeThe most amazing steak you will ever eat- we don't go anywhere else anymore, nothing compares! Fabulous house red and white wine and always a fantastic welcome and lovely staff. What more can I say- make sure you go!
Colliers – Neathi was very disappointed with my meal...it was cold and disgusting. the hostess was ignorant and i heard very bad language coming from the kitchen area. the staff were very badly treated and the surroundings are old fashioned. NEVER AGAIN!!
Cadlys Arms – Aberdarenandos merthyr is the best restaurant in the world! the manager kirsty is simply divine! well done guys, be back soon
Nando’s – Merthyr TydfilI usually avoid chain restaurants, but I ate lunch here in January 2009 since my mum was paying! The lunch special (2 courses) was good value for money. The rump steak was excellent and perfectly cooked, and the breaded mushroom appetizer was tasty too. Service was efficient and friendly.
Bagle Brook Beefeater Restaurant and Bar – Port TalbotBRILLIANT FOOD AND ALSO EXCELLENT SERVICE! 10 OUT OF 10.
Whittington Arms – NeathGood atmosphere, Good nice, but a bit overpriced for what it was, Dessert disappointing.
The Star Inn – BridgendWe went here as a second choice on new years eve, we were very glad that we could not get any service at our first choice. Service and food were excellent and though busy the cleanliness was first class.
Vojon – SwanseaBrains Pub ! With Friendly Staff creating a lovely lunchtime atmosphere! Food was excellent and served hot ! We had Lager and Bitter and both were perfect! Just the sort of place where you know you will go back time and time again.
Admiral Napier – Cardiffits the best pub grub i'v have in ages good service, a great beer, and lovely food wot more can i ask for?
The Star Inn – PontypoolSince i can remember from wen i was a baby until now ( several years) The Mermaid has always been my family's firm favourite. To begin with it was a treat on summer holidays but then when we ended up becoming semi-residents of Wales it has become a regular choice. I maybe an adult but you can't beat the smartie and chocolate button sundae and all the food especially the rack of ribs is exceptional. The service is second to none it has a friendly atmosphere and staff can't do enough to help you. It has spectacular views and kept me amused for hours when i was little along with the seagulls on the roof outside the toilets!!! Definitely 1 of the top restaurants in wales and well worth a visit!!! especially for the fine cuisine!!!
Mermaid on the Strand – TenbyWonderful food. A gem of a place I discovered by accident.
The Aubrey Arms – CardiffTry to go when it's quieter. Midweek is peaceful and the staff are attentive. Weekends are bustling and feel a little more chaotic. The food is beautiful and the chef will make a stunning carbonara if you ask nicely!
Bella-Capri – CaerphillyDo not even consider if you would like a peaceful night out especially if you are booking a table for two. My partner and I invariably end up on a table that is the size of a tea tray placed in front of the open-plan kitchen which will get bumped by every passerby. The regular blasts of 'Congratulations' does not soothe either. The food is nice and portion sizes are large but it does not justify the prices. The last time we went we were ignored by several staff until being rushed to our seats. We waited for 25 minutes before a drinks order was taken. We ordered food ten minutes later which turned up fairly promptly but with no sign of drinks. Given that it was a busy time of year we booked in advance but they seemed hugely understaffed and under-prepared. This visit has made me reconsider going back.
Frankie and Bennys – CardiffExcellent Indian food.. really different from other Indian restaurants in Cardiff. feel the difference in food varieties and flavours.. take away is a very good deal buy for burgers and dine in is with good atmosphere.. service is good.. every one should try the food and feel the difference..
Punitha’s – CardiffExcellent food cooked to the highest quality. Very reasonably priced menu with very friendly staff to go with it. Once you've been once and sampled you'll be back again and again.
Masons Arms, The – CaerphillySuperb value - starter, main course, rice and naan for 6.95! And two beers for 3.25! Iv tried a mixture of dishes and theyv all been very good (i recommend the rezala). Best curryhouse in roath for sure
