Had another really nice meal here recently. Service was probably the best we've had locally in a long time. Nice to have some Welsh speaking service staff

We stayed at Llys Meddyg for a weekend whilst exploring the local areas. The Welsh breakfasts and Sunday evening meal were beautifully presented and of the highest quality. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed exploring the secret garden area at the rear of the property too.

We came for cooked dinner this past Sunday and all I can say is OMG! The food is absolutely exceptional, the service is brilliant. We had the sharing platter for two and it is well worth the price, we couldn't have dessert we were that full, even though we wanted too!! We would say that having a table just made for two and having a sharing platter and of course drinks does leave the table a bit snug for room. Having said that, that didn't take away from the absolutely exceptional service and food we had here and we will absolutely be returning and recommending to everyone

We had an amazing Sunday lunch yesterday at this venue.Everything was perfect from the beginning....service,food,etc. I would highly recommend the Rivers Edge and will certainly be returning in the future.Thank you

Brilliant first class food and drinks

My wife and I attended for Sunday lunch on the 19th April, we arrived early but were seated immediately and our drink order taken. A comfortable time later our food order was taken and without any undue delay our order arrived, the starter (pate) was delicious only to be followed by one of the best beef dinners I have ever tasted and the caramel cheese cake was equally good. The service was first class the food was to die for and the atmosphere was amazing. I do not believe I could have dined anywhere else for less. A great Sunday lunch, we will be back.

I took my son here for his birthday. Food was outstanding. I’m quite fussy and had to swap things around, this wasn’t a problem and the food came out exactly as I’d ordered it and piping hot. The girls serving us was pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Definitely 100% will be going back….

Excellent value all round. Food exceptional as usual. We had booked a table for 5 but unfortunately on morning of visit my dad was unwell. Phoned before hand and we were able to have a take out for 2 which was amazing. No trouble at all.

We ate at the restaurant on Sunday for the first time not knowing what to expect in terms of food quality and service. The food exceeded our expectations, service was excellent and the views from the restaurant absolutely stunning. Can't wait to go back again.

We ate at the restaurant twice. The food was absolutely stunning. I would recommend the pie which I can honestly say is the best I’ve ever had. Sunday lunch is simply something else. We had the sharing platter. It was plentiful and accompanied by a wide range of beautifully cooked vegetables. The meats were varied, beef, lamb, chicken and pork, and perfectly cooked. The beef was outstanding, so tender it falls off your fork. The lamb was just the right shade of pink with a gorgeously crisp skin. The young servers are great. Polite and efficient at all times. Nothing is too much trouble. Value for money is good given the quality of ingredients and standard of cooking. Lovely atmosphere on the Sunday.

Attended for Sunday lunch sharing platter, was absolutely stunned with the presentation of the food, along with 4 different meats (which were cooked perfectly). Staff were efficient and friendly Even stayed for desert Cannot wait to come back
