Great food, sandwiches were amazing and delicious cakes. Very enjoyable afternoon tea and friendly, attentive waitress.

Nice pretty location sandwiches were very full, difficult to eat, bread very heavy. one of the sandwiches was missing a piece of bread which we pointed out to the waitress after 15 mins and she said it had fallen off while she was carrying it up! expensive for what it was bit stingy only allowing 1 pot of tea

An excellent evening out in a relaxed atmosphere, good food and fabulous cocktails!

Where to start? The super friendly staff, the great, garden-dining ambience or the best starter my partner Stephanie and I have had in a very long while. Seared duck breast in a marinade I would seriously consider doing violence to acquire. A fantastic lamb dish and a plate of belly pork on a bed of cockles and we were hooked, plus all the vegetables are cooked and served in imaginative, but not too fancy ways. Llys Meddyg is a treat.

Really nice surroundings. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us food was delicious and plenty of it Will definitely be making another visit when I am in the area.

First visit to Happy Lok & we’ll definitely be back! There is a nice, family-friendly vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff & friendly & very attentive. The food was excellent - fresh & very tasty - & we were pleasantly surprised by the price. We intend to bring friends with us for our next visit.

A lovely visit to Pettigrew’s the other day; even though we didn’t get a confirmation email through when booking it, (I screenshot the web confirmation) our booking was noted and my special request was adhered to. Service was prompt, friendly and food was quick and very tasty. Would definitely recommend the chai latte! We had sandwiches and savoury cream tea but cakes looked amazing so will be back to sample those for sure!

Meal was beautiful as always however was very little on the starter and even less on the desert! I mean really small amounts, one of our fave places, always bring our friends and family here when they are visiting , never felt this before! It really wasn't worth putting on the plate! Hopefully just a one off as we were with you only a couple of weeks before with family and had not any complaints at all! I have taken photos but unfortunately can't upload!

It was the perfect end to 3 lovely days in Newport. The food was delicious. Full of lovely flavours and cooked to perfection. The paired wines with each course is a fabulous idea and made the meal more enjoyable. I would come back tomorrow but sadly our stay is over - we will be back though. Excellent staff and presentation of the dishes. Very reasonably priced too.

We dined for a celebratory birthday meal. My onion intolerance was catered for and the food was amazing, so many dishes to choose from and guidance given on how the dishes would arrive and taste. We loved it and will be back again top khan khaa.

Booked an afternoon tea for my Mums birthday. .... everything was absolutely perfect. My Mum is coeliac so doesn't always have a lot of choice when it comes to cakes. Everything we had was beautiful.....will recommend Pettigrew Tea Rooms to everyone looking for afternoon tea. Will definitely go back.

Lovely food with a great choice of sandwiches and tea. The staff had gone over and above to accommodate my allergy. My only suggestion is to include an extra tea within the cost. Would definitely book again.

Absolutely superb food and customer service of highest standard! So welcoming for ourselves and Teddy our cavachon… Teddy’s favourite place ❤️
