Food was incredible the first time we visited, so we were disappointed last night - very average. Some staff were great, whilst the more junior staff clearly need training. A few times we ordered 1 drink/dish and they just walked away without taking the rest of our order. Lovely atmosphere and really nice to have a live singer on - she was great.

Went back for second helpings within a week and a bit and treated the in-laws for a meal. As always really friendly and attentive service, delicious food whilst good portion sizes and nice wines at a reasonable price. By far our favourite place for dinner in the village and can’t wait to go back already

Great food, great atmosphere, really friendly and accommodating staff. Even with the 25% discount voucher we used during the promotion the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Great value for money! Can’t wait to book again!

We had a superb Sunday Roast, the food and service here is top notch. Definitely the best pub in the area, great beer too.

Local nurses needing a well deserved night out since covid! Everyone needs to visit this lovely restaurant. From the moment we walked in the service is unmatched, the staff so friendly and welcoming. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in the mouth. Absolutely the best meal we had for a long time. The music was lovely. Everything was perfect, we felt safe and able to laugh again. Highly recommend! We are currently planning another night but the time brining the whole nursing team! Thank to the owners treating us so well and the staff.

Ate here for the first time on Saturday and it certainly won't be our last. The food and service was exceptionally good and friendly, not to mention the outstanding Blueberry Daiquiri. All very memorable. Generous quantities of food, beautifully presented and so very tasty! The facilities were very clean and the lovely decor gives a great ambience. Thank you Lilac Cottage for such a lovely experience. I would also like to add how convenient it is that you can park opposite for free for 90 minutes whilst you enjoy your meal - having torn my meniscus, this was a great help!

Food was nice. I thought the way of getting a tip was a bit cheeky I ended up giving a tip of £26 and didn’t realise until I got home.
