The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonTwice we have visited and both times we have had a delicious meal. The staff have great customer service and go out of their way to accommodate your needs.
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonThe food and service was awful will not be going back or recommending especially as staff were unaware their was a theatre performance on !! Such a shame as a good location for the mayflower also not pleasant when u can here staff moaning about the customers when I used the toilet
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonLovely atmosphere and friendly staff who were easy to have a laugh with and accommodating when traffic made us slightly late. Food was lovely, great flavours. The drinks selection is fairly limited, particularly the wine.
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonWe enjoyed the music at the platform while having a nice dinner with friends. The food was good, scored 70% for the burgers and 80% for the roasts.
The Platform Tavern – Southamptongenerally nice food but disappointed that the beef roast is now topside that is not as tender and tasty as the sirloin previously on offer however I'm glad that the leg of lamb is back as opposed to the stuffed lamb offered a few weeks ago! i like to come to the SUNDAY SESSIONS some very talented musos playing worth tipping in the jug cowherds do roast sirloin £17 nice but no band #
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonWe both had lovely meals and they staff were friendly and efficient
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonThe venue & atmosphere was great, staff friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and good portion size. My only complain was the tropical gin tasted of water, I said to the waitress it tasted as if it had been watered down, she took it away and ?gave me another, this tasted exactly the same. So, apart from the ?watered down gin definitely recommend this venue x
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonGreat food and great service, very accomdating and provided smaller meals for those of us with smaller appetites. Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Great experience, would highly recommend and we will definately be back :-)
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonFantastic place to eat before going to theatre!
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonI come over to the checkers pub years ago and had a roast , I was very intrigued to come again and I'm glad I did. Perfect meal sizes , quick timing. Starters were lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful .
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonWent for the Sunday Roast and the food was too good! Lovely staff! Lovely atmosphere.
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonLovely meal in a lovely place. Service was fantastic and nice to eat somewhere where you are not rushed. We ordered the fish and chips and the steak. Both were delicious, the steak was probably the best I've ever eaten. The staff are fantastic and so friendly and welcoming.
The Half Moon – PetersfieldAbsolutely lovely night. Cocktails taste amazing, and very reasonable prices! Lovely atmosphere, super friendly staff ☺️ Will absolutely be coming back
The SP Bar – AndoverGreat service and lovely cocktails. Plenty of beers available too. A great place to visit
The SP Bar – AndoverWe were really looking forward to our lunch at the Chequers Inn (described as a great rest stop for walkers). I booked online in the morning for 1:30 lunch for 4 - a belated 60th birthday celebration with my daughters and husband. We arrived on time and were given menus and told the soup and sandwiches options by pleasant bar staff. After a few minutes my husband went to the bar to order our food and was told by the landlord that the kitchen was closed. When my husband asked how that could be given we had reservations, the landlord started shouting and pointing at him and called him a tw*t! Apparently if you book online on the day you have to call ahead. Ok fair enough but no one mentioned this when we arrived. We were already there, had bought drinks, and just wanted sandwiches! I can’t imagine how we would have been treated if we’d just walked in without booking! The guy was incredibly rude and miserable. He almost ruined our special day but we walked into Lymington and had a wonderful lunch at the King’s Head. We love Lymington and the hospitality is usually so gracious. We will continue to explore but will not be returning to The Chequers Inn.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonVery pleasantly surprised by this little HIDDEN gem. We were welcomed upon arrival , seated promptly , helpful staff smiled and served us efficiently. Food great , little pricey but well worth it :-) Pub ambience was cozy friendly , calm. We really enjoyed our food and will come again !
