Nino’s Rawtenstall – Rawtenstallthere food is best in town, im telling anyone who reads this to go to the balti house and have a try because you would love what they have on the menu they have a variety of food such as curries, pizzas, kebabs, burgers, fried chicken etc. as i went in i looked at the menu and i were looking for a curry and a pizza I never knew what to get and as i were going down the pizza menu it said curry pizza I couldn? believe it i asked for a chicken tikka massala pizza which was outstanding and I tell anyone to go and give them a try.
Balti House – BlackburnIf you are looking for that meal that is just special whether it is a special occasion or whether it is just something different this is the place to go. Very friendly ran eatery and worth every penny. The wine list is spectacular as is the food. The steak was cooked to perfection and it leaves you satisfied knowing that you have had a delicious meal. There is local car parking although the restaurant does not have any specifically. It is well worth the drive from wherever you are.
China Essence Restaurant – Carnforthfood was to the highest standard, prompt service in a very relaxing and comfortable restaurant. i would have no hesitation in recommending and have done so to friends, a very pleasant place to dine in Carnforth.
China Essence Restaurant – CarnforthMothers day triumph My future mother in law dropped in subtle hints as to where she wanted taking out on mothers day, thus we came to the Whitehall hotel. Upon enquiring about the menu I was pleasantly surprised as to the standard of food on offer and even more impressed with the price. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by the manager and escorted to the lounge where we were seated on very comfy 'chesterfields' in front of a roaring fire. The wine waiter then came over with a glass of bucks fizz and canapes. Shortly followed by the manager with the menu and wine list. At this point i really began to relax confident that the day was going to be a success. I went for the smoked salmon and crab salad followed by roast leg of lamb stuffed with garlic and rosemary. My partner went for the goats cheese fritter and roast topside of beef with yorkshire pudding. Mum went for cream of celeriac soup and seared salmon. The wine list on offer was comprehensive and well thought out and extremely fairly priced. After much deliberation i went for a bottle of Australian chardonnay. The head waiter then came to escort us to our seats, on first impressions the hotel looks homely and well kept but is very deceiving on size as the room into which we were being escorted was huge, obviously their banqueting hall. There must have been 100 people there. The wine arrived chilled, the food was very tasty. My starters was delicious and my companions commented on the tastiness of theirs. Main course arrived piping hot the lamb seemed to just melt in my mouth, the vegetables also very tasty and cooked to perfection. Feeling very full and not much of a desserts man i just could not resist the white chocolate and raspberry creme brulee. My partner opted for the Baileys parfait, her mum the fresh strawberry pavlova. Followed by freshly brewed coffee and mints. Overall i thought the food delightful, the staff attentive and the building delightful. The whole ambiance was settling, there seemed to be a calm but purposeful air about the place. I even forgot about the match. Excellent.... i will definitely be returning if Sunday lunch was this good i can not wait to try the dinner menu. Whitehall.... i will be back.
Springbank Manor – DarwenGreat menu, great food, fantastic service - what more could you want !
Millstone At Mellor – BlackburnI would like to take this opportunity of being able to congratulate Sukui & staff on such a great restaurant. I am a Darwen girl living in South Australia. Whilst on holiday 2001 my nephew Joshua McFarlane took my husband & I to Sukhis. I must admit i was pleasantly surprise, from walking into the restaurant & being greeted by the warm & friendly staff ,being able to sit & relax with a drink whilst trying to choose from the menu ( that was the hardest part ). To my surprise Sukhi came to our rescue & talked us thought our likes & dislikes.( I did not know at the time he was the owner) The rest is history we have been back to Darwen 2004,& twice in 2005 and each time we have been to Sukhi.s several times. We have yet to find a comparable one here in Adelaide South Australia
Raj Mahal – DarwenFantastic and exotic flavours - best naan bread we've ever tasted! Always a warm welcome and friendly service - great choice of dishes and every one we've had has been exceptional!! Highly recommended
Sangam Balti House – Prestonwe had a hen party on board the royal sovereign, we had a fantastic night, the staff were great, food was excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant.
Boatel Party Cruises – ChorleyI was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. Having just moved into the area we have passed it many a time, to be honest it doesn't look much from the outside. We hadn't booked so had a wait a little while for a table. The staff seemed a little frantic and service was slow to arrive, however when we were served they were pleasant and courteous. The food was obviously freshly prepared and wonderfully tasty. I had an old favourite....calamari as a starter, when it arrived it was plainly fresh as it wasn't the usual battered rings, but well prepared squid slices in a lovely salt and pepper coating. I had the goats cheese and parma ham pizza for main and it was divine! the base was perfect and the topping was well thought out and delicious. Hubby's T-bone steak was tender and cooked to perfection. We finished with a real Italian espresso, we will definitely be going again.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyBrilliant!!!! It is the best Chinese food I have ever tasted
Buffet@Preston – PrestonI visited the Yew Tree after high recommendations from friends and i certainly wasn't disappointed! The setting for a start is picturesque, the atmosphere created by the candles is very warming and relaxing, the food was delicious especially the chefs signature dishes which looked as good as they tasted. The service was very efficient and friendly, definitely worth a second visit!!!
Yew Tree Inn – ChorleyFresco Fresco is by far my favourite restaurant! The service is excellent. The family make you feel very welcome and treat you very special indeed. As for the food! It's just delicious! Every traditional Italian dish you can think of plus a wonderful specials menu too! There is fantastic selection of wine and very reasonably priced. Try it - you must! You won't be disappointed.
Fresco Fresco – LeylandProbably one of the most outstanding meals I have experienced, the service the food was second to none. The place does get very busy which only adds to the fantastic Italian atmosphere. Only minor criticism bar area quite Smokey, but this should not detract from a very special evening.
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallGiovanni and the guys here are always pleased to welcome you, the food is excellent and only bettered by the ambience. It? always a treat to spend the evening here. Highly recommended.
Fresco Fresco – LeylandThe ambience was rather bland however very relaxed for a lunchtime. The food was outstanding even though it is cooked by the college students which is surprising and because of this the price is ridiculously cheap on £2.50 for a main course - a bargain!
Scholars Restaurant – BlackburnCan? fault it, food excellent, service excellent. The staff are very pleasant. Love the place!
