Nino’s Rawtenstall – Rawtenstallhad an wonderful meal at Mamma Mia's, 8 of us ate, and everyone said it was excellent, I had scampi to start which was in a lovely light batter, followed by fillet Rossini (cooked to perfection) and for sweet i had the sticky toffee cheesecake, service was very good, and the staff were lovely, and very helpful. we will definitely be going back!
Mamma Mia – BurnleyThe building is stunning, a lovely long driveway. The house is set in beautiful grounds, which are well maintained. (The rubble mentioned by the previous reviewer is now a tasteful extension for functions!). Inside the decor is traditional but tasteful. It's been recently renovated and the bar area is very cosy. The menu was extensive and all of our party were very pleased with their food. My lamb loin was perfectly cooked. The bread and butter pudding made with panetone was heavenly! The wine list is also excellent and the staff were happy to recommend a good wine to go with our meal. This restaurant is ideal for a special occasion and I'd highly recommend a visit!
Ferrari’s Country House Hotel and Restaurant – LongridgeThe food and service here is excellent. The staff are very on the ball whilst being down to earth and friendly. They have a good menu and the steaks are cooked to perfection. I took my Dad here for his 50th Birthday and he declared it was the best steak he'd ever had. I would definitely recommend eating here! They take the Hi Life card too which makes it very affordable for a meal of this standard.
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonThis place is a little gem. Very quaint building over two floors, can be quite intimate on a Fri/Sat night, or can cater for larger parties. The owner/waiter is Turkish with a great sense of humour and service is good. On to the food.... it is Turkish/Mediterranean, which is quite uncommon. The special Meze menu is fab- approx £15 per person but this includes many different hot/ cold starters and then ends with a selection of grilled meats. There are many Turkish specialities (the cuisine is very similar to Greek, so imagine your Greek holidays and the food will be like that), also are the more common pasta and pizza options (currently £3.95 on the early bird menu) Just Go and try this Turkish food for yourselves.
Tottos – PrestonGood food, relaxed environment and reasonably priced, especially the set dinners. Great for parties or a night out, not so suitable for a night of romance.
Fortune Star Restaurant – LancasterTry the stuffed seabass excellent some great specials
Windmill Hotel – BlackburnI didn? go there before but when I found out it changed hands and people recommended it to me so I went and gave it a try .The whole place has changed beautifully refurbished, very clean, friendly staff, so helpful, menu spoils you for choice. Placed my order with Hussain a great person. The food was so delicious. Never tasted before. Best in town. Great work keep it up I will recommend Balti House to all who live to eat. Ps
Balti House – BlackburnWould go again, servings very big, not expensive and if you go mon-wed they do special offers for 2 eating together
Windmill Hotel – BlackburnThese guys rock. They deliver, they sort out the order in a polite fashion on the phone, AND the food tastes great! Give them a call and you won't regret it.
Balti House – BlackburnA very enjoyable place to eat with a pleasant atmosphere. There is a very wide menu including the usual pizzas and pastas. We all had different pastas and enjoyed them all. Good wine list at sensible prices. We will definitely go back.
Aldo Due – BurnleyWow what a brilliant food. It? the best takeaway in Lancashire I think and service very posh.
Titash Tandoori – PrestonThis is a great place to dine in, good food, friendly staff, and nice place to eat...I really enjoy my dine out in buffet @ Preston.
Buffet@Preston – PrestonExcellent food using the best produce sourced specifically. The presentation and the quality of the food and the cooking skills were superb. I have been several times and the chef has demonstrated his ability to perfect, fish, steak, scallops and above all lamb. Surroundings and staff very very good. A good oaked Chablis or Ch?au Neuf De Pape White added to the wine list would increase the 10/10 to an 11/10.
Thyme and Plaice – ChorleyWoW what can I say but very very good food and genuine polite service. The restaurant area is quite large with seating for groups too, food presentation is very well thought out too, it makes me feel a bit peckish every time I think of this restaurant, price is good less than £10 per head for main course.
The Lodge – LancasterAfter a days shooting 10 of us had a great meal at Avanti. The quality of service was outstanding and very friendly. The venue is surprisingly contempory considering its in the country and prices are reasonable.
Avanti Restaurant – Kirkby LonsdaleThis is going to go in the top 5 of places to eat out, the service deserves tipping (as I did) and the food was absolutely out of this world, there is lots of seating and the atmosphere is not ruined by smokers. Try it out you will not be disappointed!
The Lodge – LancasterI can concur with the previous report that the food was outstanding. My partner pointed out though that the food had a little to much salt....... Will be returning as its the best Chinese food I have tasted for a long time.
