Lunch for 3 Lovely atmosphere wonderful service ideal small plate menu was perfect for us. Turkey was a bit like pre sliced processed but lovely fresh veg. Other meats seemed more like fresh carved.

We had a wonderful afternoon at Tabby Teas, the owners are so welcoming and the cats are gorgeous, thank you :)

What a hidden gem, been coming to Scarborough for years and only spotted the cafe this year by chance and we are so glad we did. I was spoilt for choice being a big seafood lover and went for the chowder. It was amazing and the seafood was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be going again. The staff were lovely, a really nice atmosphere and reasonably priced, whats not to like.

Very good lunch yesterday. Only two queries - had mushroom stroganoff but was charged over £15 which was price for beef stroganoff. Is this correct? Second query, was the Christmas pudding supposed to have alcohol in sauce as there was none. Also no party crackers etc. Otherwise food and service excellent.

Great restaurant with really good food and excellent staff. Only downside is the loos are upstairs which is difficult for people with mobility issues. Other than this, 10 stars from us for food, service, prices and atmosphere.

My friend and I meet regularly here as it’s halfway between our homes and we have never had a bad meal. The staff are very friendly and always give you a warm greeting, the service is attentive and the food delicious. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for somewhere nice to eat.

My husband and I went for a meal for my birthday. Once again the service and food was excellent, hot, fresh tasty food, and a lovely atmosphere with very attentive staff. This place really is a hidden gem....one of our favourite places to dine out.

We visited the Craven Arms on a Tuesday evening whilst staying at a local hotel nearby. I must admit, I didn't think I was hungry and it was great that a smaller portion for some of the main meals was offered. I had the Sea Bass and it was absolutely delicious. We'd been on holiday all week and this was the best meal we'd had - including one in The Cotswolds at a trendy hotel that cost four times as much. The flavours were excellent and the fish perfectly cooked. With my appetite restored I had the Cafe Gourmand - a smaller portion of the sticky toffee pudding which was still the perfect size dessert. This was clearly homemade too, with pieces of dates and a delicious sauce. I am so pleased that other places in the area are closed on a Tuesday and hope the Craven Arms gains as a result. The outside of the building is nothing to write home about and the interior decor, with its patterned carpet, didn't fill me with confidence. Personally, I'd rip it up and see if there are floorboards underneath, open up any fireplaces and build a whole load of bookcases for a bit of warmth and ambience. But - forget my interior design longings - if the food is the thing... if you're hungry or want a special meal out, then this is the place. There were plenty of other diners there who are clearly in the know. Next time we stay near Settle, we will book in advance. Excellent.

Small cosy environment with friendly, attentive staff. Food was very good too

Went for lunch with my brother and his wife yesterday, excellent food as usual, been there a few times as I live locally, really great service only downside was that the room was a bit cool. Usually it’s really warm in there, didn’t spoil our meal though. Make sure you book as it’s always busy, good sign I suppose

Absolutely fantastic evening spent at Brooks. The food was excellent along with service with a smile. Really enjoyed our Shrilankan experience I can highly recommend this family owned & run restaurant.
