We went on a very busy lunchtime. Staff although very busy were very pleasant. Good value for money with a wide choice of food

Lovely place to take the family. Food is always cooked to perfection. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Desserts are delicious and huge!

Booked last minute, when we arrived we were told there would be a little wait as it was very busy. Our drinks order was taken practically straight away however and we only waited 10 minutes for a really nice man (Mike I think his name was) came and took our food order. Service and food was excellent. Definitely recommend!

Delicious as usual. Brought friends who had not been before and they were as impressed as we always are.

We have eaten here a few times now and keep coming back! Great relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and outstanding food! On our most recent visit we had the steak & ale pie and the chicken kiev - generous portions and really delicious! Look forward to eating here again.

I went to the bistro for lunch with a friend. It was one of those muggy days when you don’t feel so hungry - so being able to have 2 starters was ideal. The waitress brought us water for the table, was prompt in taking our order and checked about which starter we wanted to be served first. We both enjoyed our food very much, lovely bread and excellent flavours - just the right size too. The restaurant filled up quickly and there was a nice buzz about the place - though unusually, no music. The server pointed out that a service charge had been added to the bill but was clear that there was no requirement to pay. So many places don’t explain this so that got extra brownie points - and I was happy to pay it anyway to recognise a lovely lunch.

Authentic old pub, with good choice of beer and various rooms for eating and drinking. Good choice on main menu and specials board. We had a roast dinner and a steak and ale pie - both really enjoyable - a good sized, very tasty and well filled pie. Had the cheese board for dessert; 5 different cheeses, crackers and chutney - excellent. Great service.

Yet another great evening. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and efficient.

4 of us had a late lunch 6th of August. Fantastic surroundings very chilled, very tasty food and good portion sizes. Staff very attentive and chatty without it seeming forced, great place to visit.

Myself and my partner came in for a meal yesterday, Monday 5th August, had table booked for 7pm, we both felt our meal and time here was very rushed, didn’t finish our starters before they brought out our mains! Service here is always normally very chilled and calm but we felt we didn’t get the service like we had before! We have both said that we have always had a good service and evening!

Lovely place with friendly welcoming staff. Food is fab but at busy times service can suffer! We had to remind staff on a couple of occasions about drinks, dessert menus and the bill, and even though you might catch a member of staff you can’t order anything unless they have an I pad! Be warned! Management, your staff are doing the best they can but need more help at busy periods Booking is recommended especially for the Sunday carvery! Highly recommend the Parmo, and the Malaysian curry, puddings are huge and very tasty!, the lemon meringue is fantastic, leave room!

Arrived on Sunday 4th August, welcomed by staff,shown to table very quickly,service girls came and took our orders,great to see,carvery was excellent,plenty of choice.and hot,will recommend tockets mill as all staff very polite 10/10.

I have been visiting Botafogo since it opened & it's the best restaurant in Huddersfield. The quality & service is the best & is always consistent. They go over & above to make sure your experience at their restaurant is the best & it shows. I have visited this place with so many friends & family who have always gone back time after time. Every cut of meat & every side is mouthwatering & the small starters which are provided, really are beautiful. This is by far the best restaurant i have ever been to.

Fantastic restaurant, wonderful atmosphere, great service from start to finish. Very attentive staff but without being too at you. The food is just amazing, whether it's their pasta or pizza or the great selection of other foods and the kids food is wonderful too. Would highly recommend.

Went for Sunday lunch (albeit 6:30 on Sunday evening !) The friendliness of the staff upon arrival was matched by the helpfulness of the waiting and kitchen staff. We had a vegetarian in our party who made a couple of requests all satisfied without hesitation and in fact the kitchen made a couple of other options not on the menu. The rest had the variety of Sunday lunches and all agreed they were delicious. I first visited a few years ago when visiting this area and be sure we will be back next time we are in the vicinity.
