Had a great meal. Starters were amazing. Fresh mussels, fresh king prawns & lovely crab meat. I had the fish pie which was fantastic. Full of beautiful salmon & prawns. Massive pie. Would definitely return.

Magpie Cafe – WhitbyThe food was absolute brilliant and very authentic. Restaurant was quite busy so service was a little slow however the waitress was very personable and did her best in difficult circumstances. Will 100% be returning!
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreJust amazing! Food, service, atmosphere and staff all fabulous and we can’t wait to be back.
Duke Of Wellington – HarewoodGreat food and menu, obviously a good chef.
Duke Of Wellington – HarewoodFab food and great service!
Magpie Cafe – WhitbyTheir own made whitby crab pate was as delicious as ever and their lobster Thermidor was a treat, lovely and sweet.
Magpie Cafe – WhitbyReally enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We found the menu a bit confusing but everything we had was delicious. Would definitely go back. We weren’t rushed by the staff by any means but the efficiency of the service meant we were in and out in under an hour, which may not suit everyone. We enjoyed Salmon Bibimbap, Spicy Fried Chicken, Pork Lettuce Wraps and a nicely chilled bottle of white wine. £56 plus tip. Good value for the quality and just about right for two people.
Oshibi Korean Bistro & BBQ – YorkAs a family we often go to Whitby and always eat at the magpie cafe. Have never been disappointed with the food or service The staff are always very friendly and helpful
Magpie Cafe – WhitbyHad lunch on 1/10/21. As always we enjoyed the food very much. Also as always the staff were efficient and friendly.
Maxis – YorkVisited The Magpie after seeing James Martin Chef recommending it, stating they were the best fish and chips in the country. He was right, the fish and chips were gorgeous and the service was impeccable and I can’t wait for the time I can visit The Magpie again to repeat the experience. Thank you
Magpie Cafe – WhitbyLoved this place very reasonably priced friendly and just perfect for a group get together. Thank you
The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreWe highly recommend the Thai inspired fishcakes, they were crispy on the outside and soft and tasty inside. The red curry aioli was delicious as was the soy sauce based dressing on the accompanying salad. All the other dishes were very tasty, hot and well presented. The fish and chips were crisp and piping hot. The steak sandwich was beautifully cooked, just rare in very good quality ciabatta . The portion of onion rings were tender in a delicious light and crispy batter. The vegetarians in our party were well catered for - the mushroom stroganoff was hearty, creamy and savoury. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The meal was good value for money. We will definitely eat there again. We hope that others discover this local asset and spread the word.
Duke Of Wellington – HarewoodIt was ok. Disappointed at the lack of vegetarian options but the appetiser I had was nice with a Greek salad and dip. It did feel rushed, we were told when we walked in (after being told off for being late coming at 6.15 instead of 6, but they were not exactly busy so really no need to book) that they needed the table back at 8 which is fine. But once we were sat they came very quickly to take orders and we had to send them away three times which was beginning to get awkward. Then when we were finishing they came to clear the table whilst I was still eating - admittedly I was only eating bread and dip so I can understand. We ordered deserts, the cheesecake was lovely but the other filo pasty set custard thingy was a little eggy which we didn’t enjoy. Overall, expensive and average, there are some other beautiful cheeped Greek restaurants hull with beautiful veggie and vegan options. Would not recommend.
The Aegean Taverna – HullAmazing value for money and lovely food, staff very friendly, highly recommend
Sambuca Ristorante Morley – MorleyWas very epic, visited with a girl who speaks Korean and she loved it. Was served by a man with a Scottish accent who was great, definitely would come back :))

Magpie Cafe – WhitbyFood was outstanding, staff were very friendly, a proper family run Independant restaurant. The only slight down side was the decor but that wouldn’t stop me going back.
