Really good food great vibes best spot in the boro I'll be back

Lovely food and great service, just a shame there was a really rowdy crowd in when we went that ruined the ambience for everyone there were lots of raised brows as these people behaved like they were in a sports bar

Aegean was recommended by a colleague and it didn't disappoint. Ambience was very mediterranean which was nice in itself. Menu was varied with something to suit most tastes. Food quality was fabulous with ample portions. Top this with great service and you have a restaurant you'd happily return to. Cant wait to go back.

Superb fish and chip meal at Magpie Cafe with my wife and Dad, who recommended we go there during our visit. Great staff too, definitely on our list when we return.

Food and Service was excellent , Covid19 precautions were reassuring and we had a wonderful evening.

Had a really lovely Meal at the Magpie service was excellent and staff friendly certainly go back.

Highly recommend! Place looks great, staff are friendly and helpful and the food was amazing! We had the sharing meat platter and it was awesome! We were going to order starters too but the waiter said not too bother as the meat platter is a big meal, he was right and I really appreciated his honesty and not just wanting extra money in the till. Will definitely be back again at some point

We recently visited the new premises on Newland Avenue after having enjoyed many excellent meals at the former premises on Anlaby Road. We expected it to be very good but it exceeded our already high expectations. The new premises have been very tastefully assembled. The restaurant is light and airy and exudes a very relaxed vibe. We went on a Tuesday evening and the place was buzzing, not totally full but with plenty of people in to create a very nice atmosphere. The staff never stopped all the time we were there, back and forth to the kitchen and bar and the service was excellent. As we have come to expect the choice of meals was excellent as was the food in terms of preparation, presentation, quantity and quality. We couldn’t fault it , easily 5 star. Keep up the great quality and service guys. You will certainly be seeing us again.
