Food was outstanding chips were crispy outside and fluffy inside, fish was very fresh. Fruit cake and cheese was not stingy on the the cheese so well worth the money. If your going to visit book a table in advance so you can jump the queue.

I followed this with a 12 oz Haddock, which again surpassed my expectations; beautiful crispy light batter, containing sweet, succulent Haddock! I thought my local Fish & Chip shop was good, but the experience I had last night, I don’t think will ever be beaten, unless I can get myself back to the Magpie Cafe! The bar has some nice beers/ales rather than the usual fosters/carling rubbish. They're dog friendly and always fuss and ask questions about our pup. Definitely recommend, please keep up the great work!
