Fab friendly service and lovely food!

Sunday carvery was very good. Good choices of items for all courses. Coronavirus arrangements worked well and our carvery was served at our table. Good sized portions and the lamb was very tasty. Friendly staff. Would visit again.

Came here for date night with my girlfriend and the food did not disappoint. Had the meatball starter which was incredible. The sauce it came with was so nice and tasty. Chicken Kiev calzone was beautiful as well. The service was really good & fast. The only negative regarding the night was the lack of covid restrictions. Staff did have masks on but that was about it. tables were really close together and there was no track and trace which i think needs looked at. Other than that brilliant restaurant and would highly recommend!

My wife and I had dinner on Sunday evening and found it a wonderful experience. The food was superb; I particularly recommend the venison. Ambiance comfortable as well as elegant and service impeccable. Will certainly return next time we are in York.

Very attentive and friendly service, good Consideration given to Covid precautions, Delicious food. Thoroughly enjoyed the oriental pork starter and venison dish, just disappointed I couldn’t manage a dessert as was so full. Would definitely recommend and definitely return. Have also had the takeaway from here and that was also equally delicious.

Ate at Giorgios on Saturday night. Food was superb- great flavours and quantities. Service was quick and attentive with a really friendly vibe. Thank you- we will be back!

Fabulous evening at No. 31!! The food was really lovely and the service was excellent - the main man (not sure if he was the manager or the owner) really got the measure of our group and reacted to it, so we had a brilliant time. And the food was delicious, so we will definitely be back when we return to York.....

We visited on a busy Saturday night but the service was really good and felt safe as everyone was wearing masks, staff where lovely and friendly and the good was amazing. I had moussaka and it tasted like the ones in Greece , definitely will return.

Not been for a while. Brilliant service Brilliant food Group of 8 people (6 on one table, 2 on another) tried leaving without paying, staff dealt with it efficiently with disturbing other customers .

Had a lovely anniversary meal at The Ship recently and can't thank the staff enough for making it 'extra special' with the balloons and banner. Despite an irritating little girl who had a game on her phone too loud and a gentleman who thought he was a steak specialist the food was very tasty and in ample supply. The waitresses were attentive and helpful all evening and the lady who dealt with the irate man's complaints whilst dealing with a medical emergency deserves a medal. Thank you, we will be back!

We visited this wonderful restaurant for our friends birthday. Unfortunately due to the current situation effecting deliveries we were unable to have the meze as planned but enjoyed fabulous food with excellent service. Although there was only a few people in the waiter managed to create a good atmosphere chatting with the customers. I believe they had been expecting more tables from their bookings but these failed to show up. Small businesses are already struggling if you book a table and are unable to go please advise the restaurant. We chose a selection of starters : Cypriot sausage, meatballs, taramasalata, grilled cheese and baked feta all delicious. The boys had the meat platter, enormous but great. My friend chose Kleftico whilst I had Calamari. The waiter bought our friend a rum baba with a candle and we all sang happy birthday. They did the same for the lady on the other table. Lovely touch. To finish we had the best espresso martinis. Fabulous night looking forward to next visit. Thanks again for a great evening.
