Prashad – BradfordPrashad is a very good eating place, especially for gujarati dishes. Visit once and you will feel great
Prashad – BradfordWe have visited the gray ox for years as a pub that is local to us and serves great food with a smile. however, this was not the case on our recent visit, the food has gone downhill in recent months, and the service or more the treatment we received was just appalling. The young girl left in charge since the owners stopped working just isn't up to the job, abrupt to the point of rude, the other staff made up for it and we enjoyed their chatty enthusiasm. Food has gone ott and specials distant from the pubby freshness we had previously enjoyed. a shame to say we won't be returning, as it was our favourite local restaurant. seems to have lost touch with the ethos somewhat.
Gray Ox – LiversedgeTo my shame, I did not know of the existence of this fine restaurant until last night. A friend and I was looking for a restaurant to eat in prior to going to a Seasick Steve gog at the O2 Academy. My friend had wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant and I wasn't aware of any near the Academy. We spotted diners through pavement level windows in the Red Chillie and called in on spec. The restaurant was nearly full despite it being a Tuesday evening and a large number of the customers were Chinese. The menu contained many dishes that I'd not heard of and I wasn't tempted by the lung dish!. However, we found some dishes that were both new to us and were tempting as most of the menu choices were to be honest and had a wonderful gastronomic experience. Unlike most Chinese meals the two starters (crispy duck and pancakes + Chinese crackers) and two main dishes (crispy stir fried chilli beaf and a spicy mince pork dan dan noodle dish) shared between us were more than ample and for the first time ever in a Chinese restaurant, I left food uneaten, not because it was unpalatable but because the portion sizes were large enough to fill me before getting to the end of them. The food is great, fresh, visually appealing and the waiters attentive and polite. The meal for two including a pint of lager and a large bottle of mineral water came to £34 - fantastic value! I've already recommended the place to anyone prepared to listen to my rave reviews at work. I'll be back within the next couple of weeks with friends.
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreI think this place is a must visit whether you live in Leeds or are just visiting!!! I got introduced last week to it and have just arrived home from my second visit. The starters are so well made, even the Spring Rolls are to die for! For main you cannot fault the Bentou Boxes AT ALL for Value for Money.. and even though it comes with fruit included in the Box, the Cheesecake is an absolute must. I will be making this my place of choice for ANY meal out in future, the variety is amazing. And for vegetarians there is an amazing variety, and also VEGANS!! Get in on the Little Tokyo action!! They have such a varied menu!!!
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreDespite not being the best looking curry house, Starbeck Tandoori is a gem of a find. The food is full of flavour and the kitchen isn't afraid of experimenting on your behalf - if you explain to the waiter what time of curry you're in the mood for, he's happy to recommend from the menu or offer to mix one up especially for you. I've never been disappointed with an experience from here. Wish they delivered though!
Starbeck Tandoori – Harrogatelove this place. everything about them is great. there mint green tea ice creams is to die for.
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreThis place has gone downhill in my estimation!. The quality of food is over rated and to say the place is cramped, is understating the fact. It spoils the whole experience, dont you think?. An advance booking usually involves a wait of 30min or so. A friend of mine booked a table for 9 and upon arrival they were informed casually by the waiter that only 6 would be accommodated for. Ridiculous !.
Akbars Balti Restaurant – BradfordThis is the best restaurant in the world. EAT AS MUCH AS U CAN 4 £5.99. That like FREE!!! LOL!!!
Mashriq – BradfordAfter reading an article about this place I thought I'd swing by for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. And what an excellent experience it was. The patisserie was a delight. I believe the fella who makes them came from a Michelin-starred establishment and it certainly shows... they were works of art and thoroughly delicious. The chocolates, also, were uniformly excellent. A special mention, too, for the manager, Alison, who was particularly helpful and whose passion for, and knowledge of, all things tea related really shone through. She pointed us towards the Oolong, a blend I'd never tried before; it was delightful. I'm constantly baffled why people rave about Betty's in this part of the world. For me, The Black Swan Tearoom was of a much higher standard and represented far better value. I hope they go from strength to strength.
We had a very enjoyable evening when four of us dined here on Saturday evening. There was so much choice on the menu. We had Beetroot Cakes, Cuban Potato Salad, Purple Potato Hash, Dal and Sweet Potato Bahji, Tuscan Tart, Almond and Cranberry Tart and Orange and Pomegranate Cake. The dishes were cooked to perfection and the meal was a most wonderful experience. This establishment fully deserves the ‘Best Vegetarian Restaurant’ accolade it has received from the Vegetarian Society.
Dandelion and Burdock – Sowerby BridgeWe had the Sunday lunch deal on 25 January 2009. It was good value for money and compared favourably to other Italian restaurants in harrogate. The portions were large and the service was good. We also ordered the garlic bread as an extra and it was delicious.
Vivido – HarrogateOutstanding Indian food-slightly slow service(was a very busy Saturday night) but only because all food cooked to order and well worth waiting for. South Indian Garlic chilli chicken-superb. At last have found an Indian restaurant on Teesside worth recommending. We will be back!

Lion of Asia – NorthallertonI thought I'd write a review as there was nothing recent on here! My husband and I go quite regularly to Jinos in Guiseley and have always found it excellent.
