I cannot praise Shama enough!!!! I live locally which is convenient for frequent and regular visits. Staff are really friendly and they really look after you. Watch out for the comedian! Dining at Shama is an experience in it's self.

whenever i want to go out for a meal i cannot think of any better place to go than the millstone hotel tickhill i know i will have a lovely meal at a good price i always have beef and its superb. well done the millstone

Glasses sparkled over the bar; the cutlery gleamed on the polished wood tables and the whiter than white napkins were beautifully ironed. An attractive, smiling Rosie greeted us, showing us the blackboard menu for us to peruse while we had a drink at the bar. The choice was limited but with interesting touches of imaginative combinations. I could have chosen any of the dishes and eaten them with pleasure as Russell only cooks from fresh even to his own bread and hand cut chips(none of your "ready bake" in the oven varieties) Our meal arrived in just the right amount of time, no long waits or the feeling of being rushed. The white plates(hot with the main course)set off what I can only describe as works of art and tasted delicious. We chose to eat in the lounge/bar area but there is a very attractive, elegant dining room where clothed tables of different shapes and sizes gave the room an interesting look. If you want to see a young couple working hard, giving of their best and enjoying doing it. go to the Bruce arms at West Tanfield where a welcome awaits you. The drive to this attractive village is a pretty one without many motorists. There is no parking problem as an ample car park is available. All these factors need consideration and are part of a successful night out. Thank you Rosie and Russell for such an enjoyable evening with you last week.

The best pub food in yorkshire, you would travel miles for this place and so you should, its a good price, a warm environment and friendly staff. we try to go some where else but the amazing aura makes us come back constantly, its like sunday everyday when we walk in.

The best city restaurant grill in wakefield, though some way to go on the service to be challenging for been the best overall, the food menu is good, presented and tastes great, atmosphere is good but this place is another of those small restaurants aprox 40 covers which means the service should be easy and a lot better.

I love the food at this place! i have eaten here a number of times and and each time the food has been excellent! The Calzone pizza is fantastic not to mention huge! the pasta dishes are lovely and the steak is beautiful. I always have melon & parma ham for staters, which although a little expensive for a starter is very much worth it as you get a full plate and is presented so well, like all the dishes. It really is hard to choose what to have off the menu! the service is generally very good but have had to wait a while on occasions for drinks. The restaurant is very clean and their is a nice atmosphere, but booking is a must as it gets very busy.

This was the best Thai food ever and as a vegetarian, it was the best I've ever eaten EVER. Wish they'd open more.

I ate at The Star after a recent £1.5 million refurbishment on Mothers Day with my Mum, wife and daughter and found the food fantastic, reasonably priced and a great venue. The service was great with some lovely members of staff making my mums Mothers Day extra special. I now use The Star every Sunday for Sunday lunch with prices at £5.25 for adults and £3.95 for the kids its great value and great food.

had my daughters 16 birthday party in marcos the atmosphere was brill even though it was most of my family the staff are very friendly meals very cheap and you can take your own wine in I would recommend trying any of there steaks and garlic bread .

In my work I get to travel worldwide, and love nothing better than an Indian restaurant to eat and relax in. Without doubt, Darton Balti is the finest for both food and ambience. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always superb. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough...you will not be disappointed!!

Nice little restaurant in the heart of woodhouse. Staff more than friendly and I can? rate the food enough, especially the chicken strips for starter, very nice. Quiet restaurant as this really is a little gem.
