Dos Amigos – HeadingleyClose to the bars of Doncaster, yet so far away. This fine hostelry is all 18th century coaching inn on the outside, while the interior is pure 2005:bright & minimalist. Its a place to partake of proper food - no stack & drizzle nonsense. Where cooking is a full plated affair, unfussy, though not lacking precision. Fearsomely good starters include a black pudding hot pot. The mains brandishing portion control towards the thick end of considerable veer between the safety of a T bone steak & the in you-faceness of the main street monster pie-steak & ale pie, buttery pastry & just a cow horn or 2 away from an appearance in the Dandy. There's even an orchard doubling as a beer garden - something you won't find in most pubs-but the Cadeby Inn isn't most pubs & well worth a visit.
Cadeby Inn – DoncasterVery relaxing atmosphere with a roaring open fire at wintertime on the upper level. Plenty of choice on the menu , but be warned the mixed grill is only for those with very large appetites!i recommend the lasagne!
Bulls Head, The – WakefieldEach time I have been the food has been fantastic, service brilliant and price very reasonable. I would defo recommend this restaurant if you ever visit bradford
Blue Sky Cantonese Restaurant – Bradfordnow amaans is the best Restaurant in leeds the food is tasty, kind staff and outstanding food!!!
Saffron Desi – MorleyCafe Passion is a great new addition to the Halifax food scene! The dishes vary from authentic Northern Turkish cuisine, to some English dishes too. The place is family run, and you're greeted with a warm welcome as soon as you step inside! Service is great, and the place is clean and even serves authentic Turkish breakfast. Strongly recommended!
Cafe Passion – Halifaxbrilliant food would go everytime without a doubt
Beijing City – SheffieldThe food is excellent, the owners are very friendly, its a must.
Beijing City – SheffieldWe arrived at 6.15pm on a Friday night to find the place already half full, when we left about 7.30pm people were starting to queue outside, so get there early as you can't book. The food is really good especially the chorizo in rioja and the spinach and potato omelette. We had 6 tapas and 2 rounds of drinks and it came to £35 which is very reasonable I think. The sangria could have been a little colder if I really really have to find fault but overall a very nice culinary experience and you can park in the Vue cinema's car park across the road.
Viva Cuba – Leeds City CentreThese Dough balls are the best one's I have ever had. Mind you they are the only dough balls I have ever had. The boxes were a bit disappointing. Best thing is, i didn't have to pay. God bless corporate cards.
Pizza Express – Leeds City CentreWe went for a family meal to the moorings in November and had a great time, the roaring log fire was lit and it was very cozy, my eldest brother and his wife stayed there over night and said the breakfast was amazing. All the food we had was homemade and the range of puddings was superb
Moorland Lodge Restaurant – HuddersfieldThe quality and quantity of food was very good. The waiters/waitresses were attentive to our needs. Prices were good for what we received. Recommend a visit!
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreBeen going to this restaurant for about three years now and always had excellent food and service. Held a private party for our 25th wedding anniversary here and it was fantastic the staff and management were really helpful and friendly and of course the food was amazing. Great Place.
Orchid Restaurant – HarrogateThis s a must for any body visiting Harrogate, living in Harrogate or just passing through, you can not find better.
Italian Connection – HarrogateI found myself down here with a friend almost by accident when we were looking for vegan food when getting badly hungry. What a find!! The standard of service is up to the very best India has to offer (my visit reminded me why the Gujaratis are so easy to get along with), and a dal, in particular, ranks alongside the most exceptional I tried in India. Hansa can also make a wonderful, flaky puri. It's all veggie, and most of the menu is vegan. Even my friend, who isn't too keen on chilli, loved it. Remember, when tempted to fight over starters, Hansa's is dedicated to non-violence!
Hansa’s Cookery School – Leeds City CentreAn undiscovered gem of a restaurant tucked away under a railway bridge just outside Barnsley. The decor is great, Zaf, Freddie and staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food is superb. We had very generous servings of the Nawabi Chicken and a chicken korma, both full of flavour and probably the nicest, lightest naan I have ever had, all for about £10, great value. We went on a Thursday night and the place was nearly full. We shall definitely be back.
Royal Spice, The – BarnsleyWhy does my Sunday lunch not taste this good!! What a wonderful Sunday lunch I have just enjoyed at Woodlands, rich onion soup, perfectly cooked rare beef, sticky toffee pudding heaven sent, with a glass of wine for about £20.00. The front room esq restaurant is a little lacking in atmosphere and the staff are young and nervously shy, not great coffee either. My advice, skip coffee and enjoy a glass of wine!!
Woodlands Hotel – MorleyI have been here many times and have never been disappointed. To say if this place is better than Akbars or Aagrah is a difficult one but its certainly up there with the best . Nice relaxed atmosphere and great staff made for an enjoyable evening. Personally I would say the food was very nice rather than outstanding as I prefer large chunks of meat rather than the small pieces in my curry I got there but this is a minor issue. The bill for 2 with wine and starters was less than £40 which I thought was ok . Well worth a try
