Very disappointed with Savina, if i am being asked what i thought about the food, we never got to try it as we ended up walking out and going next door to Mayur. We turned up on a Bank Holiday weekend on a Sunday about 18:40, sat down and then waited some time to order drinks along with a chance to view the menu. The table next to us seemed to be in a similar situation. The drinks came and then the only waiter on disappeared for about 15 minutes, there must have been about 8 tables on the go at various stages, so not snowed under with work but it did seem a little lite on waiter service, i suppose on reflection the sign on the door should have put us off as they were advertising for bar and waiter staff. Anyway eventually when we tried to order off the 5 to 7 menu at ten past seven we were told we were out of time, which i can understand if we came in after seven, but not when we had been sat down for some time waiting for our orders to be taken before seven. Probably the most annoying thing was the table next to us who only just ordered about 3 minutes before we ordered did order of the special menu. This was never a question of price but a question of principle and because of the lousy customer service attitude we will never eat their again, not that we did this time, but will advise all our friends and family of the awful service. Sorry but never again, on the up side we had a great meal again at Mayur. Go there its brilliant

Visited Sapporo Teppanyaki in Liverpool last night for the first time...it was amazing! From the moment that you walked in the door the staff were so friendly and made you feel really welcome. The restaurant itself is open plan, with a unique table layout; each one featuring it's very own cooking station and highly entertaining and extremely skilled chef. For starters, we sampled the hot chilli prawns and tempura vegetables (both of which were fabulous). Mains were cooked in front of us on the "Teppanaki plate" - egg fried rice, sauteed potatoes and vegetables with your choice of meat. We had Duck Breast Teriyaki and Garlic Beef Fillet. For the vegetarian amongst us it was the Oko-Nomi Yaki (thats a Japanese Savoury Pancake!). Simply delicious! The dishes are cooked on the central cooking stations and the chefs put on a great display and are very entertaining. I have a restricted diet and cannot eat and dairy/lactose products. I advised staff before going and they could not have been more accommodating. My dish was cooked separately in the kitchen area to avoid any "contamination" - all of the staff were more than happy to assist, making me feel as though I was being no trouble to them. All of this was finished off with a "Long Island Iced Tea" (mixed with Sake) in the relaxed bar area. This restaurant comes highly recommended from us and a must if visiting Liverpool.

The best Indian restaurant in the area. Friendly service, excellent quality and choice of food - plenty of mild dishes, but if you like hot and tasty, try the dishes with naga chillies. Prices are very reasonable, and and it's b.y.o., so it's the best value I've found in the north-west. The downstairs restaurant is small so there's plenty of atmosphere, and they have a separate room upstairs for any large groups or functions.

This is by far the best Greek restaurant in Liverpool. If you love Greek food then give this a try, the food is amazing, it is cooked to perfection. My husband and i have been going to this restaurant for years now, and we are never disappointed. Marie and Gerry make you feel very welcome, the food is to die for and the atmosphere is amazing. I would recommend the Othellos special every time ! Give this a try without a doubt !

I went to Salvatores a few weeks back now on a Saturday it is on the main street in southport town centre great location, I can honestly say I have never had better service and food. The Italian waiter was very hospitable and the kitchen seemed to have much experience in the food they were cooking. I had the Calamari to start and my husband had the Garlic and bacon mushrooms absolutely gorgeous, presentation also. For mains I had the rack of lamb and my husband had a penne pasta with salmon and king prawns he very much enjoyed this said the sauce was out of this world. We would very much recommend this to anyone it is a lovely place to eat. Definitely going back. See you soon

Love it Love it Love it. I have been 3 or 4 times and every time was excellent. My partner and I eat out as often as possible, and I have to say this is my favourite place to go. There is not one thing I could complain about (except perhaps I do not get there enough) Food, Service and surroundings are all top notch at a very reasonable price.

We have dined at The Portrait House on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed it. Recently, I held a surprise birthday party there for my wife. Everything was organised by The Portrait House and the whole event was just perfect. I cannot thank them enough. They arranged live music, welcome drinks, provided a really excellent buffet - not the usual sausage rolls and sandwiches, etc., and the price was very reasonable indeed. I wholeheartedly recommend The Portrait House.

A group of 6 girls went to Lunya on Bank Holiday monday. we had a beautiful meal. The food was amazing, superb cava and lovely service. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Have just booked for a big girly night out as the cocktails were superb. We were even sat next to an international footballer - no idea who he was, but he was a hunk!

Emperor's new clothes - pretensions of greatness but no substance of any kind. We went the summer before last and had a wonderful meal. This time (2/5/10) Marshall appeared to have been beguiled by the fine art/fine dining movement but clearly lacks the skills to pull it off, the end result being a confusing combination of mismatched flavours which left one completely unsatisfied in every sense. The once magnificent cheese board has now diminished to a somber looking bunch of dried out specimens that would better grace a Christmas buffet down at the local sports and social club. This really was a terribly disappointing experience from a restaurant which promised so much. Marshall needs to rethink or move on, quickly.

We love the Yuet Ben! We think it's the best Chinese in LIverpool. Fantastic food, crispy duck is the best ever (they make their own pancakes and bring you more if you run out, yummy hoi sin too), crispy chilli beef delicious too as were the rest of the meals sampled by our party. Attentive staff who were willing to engage in some light banter when we ordered two starters and the rest of our party only ordered one "So you'll be eating your second starter and they'll be sitting there watching you?" Hilarious. Very pleasantly accommodated the birthday cake I had brought for my brother and even provided a candle and music without prior warning. Please go there, you will not be disappointed. We'll be going again very soon.

I have been a fan of zizzi since the first time I was taken there a year ago. Since then I have taken family and friends there for lunches and dinners and never was I disappointed. However, I must write of a really negative experience I recently had. A part from the cold draft coming from the kitchen door, which made me shiver for the entire duration of the meal, my arancini were clearly from the night before's service, just a little warmed up, probably in a microwave. The pizza dough was undercooked, it had very little tomato sauce so it was very dry; same goes for my son's pizza. My husband's fish course came with hard as rock potatoes. Overall, not a satisfying Sunday lunch. What a disappointment...

We have dined here several times and tried various meals and every single one has been exceptional. The staff are very welcoming but not imposing the decor is amazing. Whilst the prices may seem slightly higher than some, the quality of the food make this good value. Highly Recommend- Enjoy we did.
