Ella Grill – BirkenheadOomoo has quickly become my favourite place to hang out in Liverpool. Formerly "The White Room", it was taken over in September 2008 and has been transformed into a buzzing, bustling cafe. The coffee is right up there the best I've found in Liverpool, the staff are really helpful; music seems to be an eclectic mix ranging from laid-back jazz to old-school rock and everything in between. The paninis are huge and well-priced, the home-baked cakes and savouries are absolutely delicious! Throw in the bonus of free wi-fi and comfy sofas and armchairs and you've got a friend for life! I can't recommend Oomoo highly enough!
Oomoo – WavertreeI recently organised a staff meal out and took a gamble on going somewhere I'd never been, and in this case it definitely paid off. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. The tapas was fresh and full of flavour, and the generous helpings of home made desserts were some of the best desserts I've tasted. And all of this for under £20 including corkage. I would highly recommend this to anyone, and all of the staff are keen to return.
Cafe Porto – Liverpool City CentreLovely food, lovely service - nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. My Mum, my sister and myself go regularly and it is always an enjoyable experience. My Mum doesn't like Chinese food, so she always has fish and chips which she really enjoys. Not only that, but they have a business man's lunch menu, which is three courses for under £6.00 - don't know how they do it, and they serve it until 5 or 6 pm. Thanks, guys for always making us feel so welcome...
Fung Lok – Mossley Hilli wouldnt recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy one word describes it DISGUSTING !!!!!!five of us went to eat there tonight Thursday 16th please dont waste your money .we were over charged at first by ten pounds ,then when i platter started the food looked like it had ben cremated.the chicken legs and wings were all a dark shade of burnt and were all stuck together.as for the main meal of scampi it was burnt.sorry but this restaurant is the pits.,and stupidly enough this is the second time we have ate there omg the food and service is badddddd.
The Game Bird – St.HelensFor a "real taste of Italy " you must visit this restaurant ! , i have been going there since i 1st moved to the "pool " over 27 years ago and i can honestly say they are still one of the best Italian restaurants in the U.K. , possibly Europe ! , the staff are really friendly , the service is quick , however be prepared to wait for a table , its worth it ! the food is great value, authentic and they serve generous portions , (i have never made it to the dessert menu !) the atmosphere is lively and always busy, great for a quick bite after a shopping session or a romantic evening treat, the pizzas are thin and crispy and traditional , and the pasta dishes are always hot, fresh and "al dent'e , i cannot recommend this restaurant enough !, you will not be disappointed ! Bon appetito ! enjoy .
Casa Italia – Liverpool City Centre14th July - Bastille Day and the place was buzzing, had the Bastille day Menu which included a glass of Kir, the price with wine , water, 3 courses and coffee ..£58 for 2 people , fabulous value but more importantly much better food and service than I have had in many restaurants in France. Highly recommended ....need to book!!!
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreI have visited this restaurant on a few occasions and always had a fantastic meal. We called in again recently and were very disappointed the menu had changed from 'fine dining' to more of a snack type menu "to cater for the student population". I had had a burger previously so I thought I'd stick with what I knew but how disappointing! they seem to be using cheaper ingredients. Unfortunately I will not be going to this restaurant again.
OSQA – Liverpool City CentreExcellent....everything about it...food, service, views, ambience, value etc. Probably the best restaurant in Liverpool.

Panoramic 34 – Liverpool City Centrewhat a little gem. we found it my mistake and we had a great time during our visit to Liverpool. the food was gorgeous, and the service very friendly. we'll be back when we 'll visit Liverpool again <3
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreRecently called Fat Momma's and asked if they could provide the catering for my dad's funeral. They opened up early and we had a very enjoyable experience, we even stayed towards evening and had dinner. I would recommend Fat Momma's for this kind of service - thanks for making it memorable
Ella Grill – Birkenheadwe have eaten at the Chez moi many times and have yet to experience a bad meal, highly recommended, the staff are very pleasant and helpful,Les/Lesley Bodrum/Gumbet
Chez Moi Brasserie – SouthportHad a recent meal with a group of friends. First rate cooking, appalling service. Had excellent experiences here in the past so surprised when we couldn't get any drinks served to us in the seating area near the bar. Even more surprised when we had to remind the staff that we had been waiting over half an hour past our booked time in a half empty restaurant to get seated. Great food but just couldn't get the waitresses' attention for more wine. Staff seemed to be more interested in putting out breakfast servings at end of meal that serving us coffee. First restaurant in years where we didn't leave a tip. If they can get the service sorted out then would continue to highly recommend.
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreJust visited the Gulshan for my partners birthday as a special treat and have to say that after expecting something fantastic I found it decidedly average and did not enjoy the experience at all. We travelled quite a long way and to say we were very disappointed is an understatement. We eat out very regularly at Indian restaurants and will not be visiting this one again. Pricey as well.
Gulshan – AigburthVery confusing mid-week offers , some on a-la-carte , others on table d'hote , some before 7pm , some on new menu only , some on July only , another one with a 10% discount on 3rd course. Then we're told by the owner that we can mix & match the menus , then were told by the waitresses that we cannot . How can we get 10% on one menu , if we mix them. Also, £17.50 for mixed grill , which took 3 lines of narrative to be described on the menu , but when it appeared looked like something from a childs menu , with hardly a pick on the chop and one mouthful at most on the other meat.Very disappointing. Response from owner when contacted was" I can't do anything now" . Julian I think you could if you wanted to. I wasn't fooled by all this fine dining nonsense and the owner coming round the tables. Also, owner seemed to begrudge us an extra round of bread , implying we were taking liberties. Isn't he taking liberties giving misleading flowery descriptions on his menus and then serving up pitiful portions. To answer his question , yes , my 13 year old nephew was also disappointed with his mixed grill, telling me there wasn't enough to eat. We have to try and fill up on bread. One word - Rip-off.
Julian’s Restaurant – HoylakeFood was lovely, but had really bad reaction to a Prawn Korma, not allergic to prawns as i eat them on a regular basis, so no idea what caused it.
Light Of Bengal – Aigburthhi everyone , if you are thinking of going to this non authentic indian cusine please please please think again. our meal was well over priced and well over cooked, i asked for a chicken madras which they don't make! along with all famous other indian currys . the manager recommended a curry and stated very clear it was similar to madras . i trusted his judgement and was more than disappointed , as it was basically a korma (coconut milk based) with some chilli added, this is a huge difference as a madras is tomatoe based . to my horror i hate korma or anything to do with coconut . the saga loo is awful they over do it with too much spinage you cant even taste the potato and add cheese to it. my partner ordered the crispy lamb which was no better than our local Chinese take away accept it cost 14.50 our rice could have feed 4 people and they let us order two. our starters and main meal cost 91.53 . we did not eat hardly anything , and when asked why we didnt eat it i explained to the manager i dont like coconut this is why i asked for a madras he said sorry and still give us the 91.53 bill. to be honest i dont care about the money we have wasted , im more upset with the management and non authentic indian food. i absolutely love indian food more than i like shoes or handbags and was really looking forward to dining there regular as we live close by . also there website is currently not working properly so can not see the whole menu , ( you would think a restaurant with this price tag would have this sorted) definitely don't take your children (or child) like we did. i feel this should be clearly stated on the menu or website as they do not cater for children at all . the manger recommended fish fingers which cost 7.50 , these were fish with a curry paste deep fried in breadcrumbs. also the garlic naan is not fresh garlic and is too over powering . i dont feel they can justify the money they charge be prepared for a weird non indian chinese experience .
