Went here for my birthday - food was lovely but my fiance found a caterpillar in his salad. The waitress apologised + offered us a free drink but it would have been nice if the chef had come out + spoke to us. Food was great but I wouldn't go back purely because of this incident.

This is a new restaurant (Old Manhatten Bar next to Paradox). It is a lovely place with really good food. They have a tea time special for only £9.95 for 2 courses (5 - 7pm). There is also a big menu to choose from. I have been a few times and really enjoyed the Chicken goujons & mozzarella sticks to start and I always get the lasagna & garlic bread as they are both lovely. My husband varies his meals. He has had pasta named "Michael Caine", "Benny Hill" & "Sophia Loren". He enjoyed Sophia more because it was a little bit spicy. If you go on a Wednesday or Thursday evening, cocktails are buy one get one free. If you like chocolate milkshake I'd recommend the Snowball (normally £5 each). I would recommend this restaurant but be prepared if you are out for a few hours then your bill will probably be about £40 per person.

Myself and my wife visited the almond on Saturday night and were quite disappointed with the whole evening. we waited over 20 minuted for our starters, which both looked messy and rushed, then the mains were cold and over priced. im all for supporting local causes, but the least i expect is warm food. the restaurant is also very cramped. And since im complaining...the drinks are also over priced.

Lovely food and really friendly people. I would recommend Zorba's as much today as when I first went there more than 20 years ago.

This restaurant has good quality food at good prices. The bill came to under £18 each and we all had 3 courses and drinks. (The baileys creme brulee dessert is lovely). The service was excellent and the food I am pleased to say was home cooked as advertised. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Between us we ate homemade fat chips, curly fries, pasta, puddings, homemade burgers, ciabatta, garlic bread, various starters & drinks and it was well worth the money.

My husband and I have been many times and the standards never drop.Food and drink is always great and the staff are very friendly and efficient. I always judge a restaurants hygiene by the toilets and these are to a very high standard and full of little extras. We always recommend it to friends and several of them have booked it for parties. They all have the same high regard as me.

Thai restaurant with great decor but poor food - and let down by one staff. Also, flies on window sill which completely put me off!!! You got to say - you walk up to this restaurant and you know they have put at least £1 million for decor and setting up the restaurant. You walk up to the restaurant and you see the thai god statues etc. All waiter and waitresses are thai people and wearing thai restaurant clothes. Upon entering you are asked if you have a booking! Yep. Strange but they have plenty of space. Trust me. Walking inside you find that the restaurant is'nt that big. From the outside you think it is big but most of the section is used up by the bar next door - separate company. I believe around 15-20 seat downstairs and up. Great thing is as it is new - it looks the part. Partner and I, got given the menu and the menu looks great at the start. Not being funny at all - but once again their is a spelling mistake in the menu. We ended up ordering the set meal for 2 - can't remember but the price being in the region of £25 per head. The set susukhothai. You can order the standard meals or go for vegetarian. The platter came with a satay chicken, curry pork, spring roll, prawn in batter, fish and a crab cake. Now how did this taste? The satay chicken on the stew - like a kebab was tasty. The pork on a stew was bland! No taste. You are giving a dip - vinegar, sweet sour sauce etc. Still didn't make a difference. The crab cake was greasy and tasteless. The spring roll was bland also. Just to tell you only get one of each - two in total for two people. Prawn fried in batter etc. Bland. Nearly missed that. Fish not fresh. The main menu came in one go - normal rice. Nothing special. We ordered the coconut rice and it tasted bland. No coconut taste at all. The dishes - chicken green curry, some seafood stir fry with squid etc, a pork stir fry, fried noodles. Now, the chicken green curry was okay. Not joking but the sauce tasted exactly like the satay chicken sauce. Seafood stir fry and the pork stir fry tasted exactly the same except that different meats / seafood. Never tasted something so poor in quality. The fried noodle were just fried noodle. As for being unsatisfied for 80% of the food, what really made me unhappy was one waitress! Don't get me wrong, the rest of the team was great. This girl - name start with an A must have been too good for this place. On her hand alone she has a diamond ring - married - which was worth at least £3k. She definitely did not need the money to work for this restaurant. Everytime she brought the food over, she sighed. Nearly forgot! My partner ordered some red wine and it came with a fly! Yep a fly. They did replace it but unacceptable. Now, why we will not be going back! Upon paying the bill we left 10% tip and the waitress looked at us and said that it? Cheek! So take your own pick. Won't be going back at all. I do miss the old thai restaurant in paradise street before liverpool one was built. Oh well. This is all my opinion.

As a regular to Mak Sayed, (I live across the street), I was surprised to see only one review of this fabulous Curry House. Mak Sayed do a wonderful Buffet night at £9.95 per person several nights during the week. as well as the popular Buffet is a great selection of tasty dishes. The restaurant has modern styling, recently refurbished with excellent disabled access. The waitering staff are impeccably dressed in smart black and very polite. The manager regularly enquires if their guests are satisfied with their meals, he will also perform the occasional bit table entertainment with magic or balloon making and the occasional flower for the lady - a fabulous touch. The food is first class and very competitively priced for such high class service. Give Mak Sayed a try - you won't be disappointed

I would never go back to this restaurant again, and i would certainly not recommend it. All the food was cold, and some was to salty to eat. The staff make you feel very uncomfortable as they stand around watching you eat. I had my plate of food taken away before i had eaten it, when i dared to go to the toilets, which were filthy and had no toilet roll.

We went on recommendations from friends and relatives and were not disappointed. The first time was for our wedding anniversary on 16th July 2009. we took our 2 children due to lack of babysitters and they both loved it (aged 10 and 13). The food was superb-lamb kebab with tahini sauce is to die for! Even the chips were fab with my very discerning 10 year old stating they were the most delicious he had ever tasted! When we were leaving we mentioned it was our anniversary and got told off by the waitress for not letting her know before! We were promptly offered a drink of our choice on the house. We were back a week later with a group of friends and this time we chose off the set menu-superb value at £12.95-with plenty of choice. We also go free wine because we had spent over £30. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anybody-indeed I intend going again with work colleagues in the very near future. 10 out of 10

The best pub food in Liverpool. Everything is "home made" on the premises, even REAL chips. Favorites of our family include slow cooked ham shank, fish and chips, cottage pie and even the chicken curry. Good real ale too, heaven. Prices are pretty good too.

Good food at great prices, particularly the early evening banquet. Our favorite local restaurant, the ribs and the sweet and sour are superb.
