Wanted something different and after reading recommendations on Sugarvine went there with my husband last night, we had the Mezedes Greek banquet for 2 which was absolutely fabulous, well worth the money and would definitely have again. This is a small place but so inviting, couldn't ask for better service and even little added extras in the ladies toilets all goes along way to making this a special place to revisit!

Having been to Yo Sushi in Birmingham I was excited at the opening in Liverpool, but I was disappointed. The number of dishes on the belt was extremely limited and although you can order dishes, this was slow in coming and half the fun is grabbing stuff off the belt! Coupled with a rude and arrogant supervisor this wasn't the fun experience I'd hoped for. Certainly for Japanese food in Liverpool Etsu is your best bet, good food and service.

Used to be a big fan of this great little restaurant, but it seems to have lost its way a little. Not sure whats happening here, I hope they regain their drive that they used to have but when I dined there last week I found the food quite bland and a strangely dull atmosphere. Give it a try because hopefully, it will return to it's former glory, but for the time being I'm afraid I won't be in a rush to return. Sorry.

I was looking forward to dining at Lefteris, however although the restaurant was not busy the service was poor... We were left for too long to look at the menu and had to ask for a drink only to be told by the waitress that she was 'busy'! When our food finally arrived it was tasty albeit expensive, unfortunately when my friend got home that evening he was sick! Was it the food??

We went to the Baltic for the first time last Sunday, I'm a big beer lover so the brew pub thing made my day. We ordered home-made roasted tomato soup and the stuffed portabello mushrooms to start and the welsh lamb and roast rib eye beef for our main. The food was delicious, traditional food done very well. my partner and I were surprised at the amount and quality of the food we ordered and it was only 9.95 for 2 courses. We found the staff very good and friendly and more than wiling to talk about the history of the fabulous building and the brewery.

I've been going to Etsu since it first opened and have ever since. The staff are brilliant and very friendly. I always suggest Etsu at every opportunity and everyone that I've brought with me always enjoys the food. It's definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Liverpool and I'd go everyday if I could!

Went back for first time in 16 years, not because of any complaint with the food, just that I moved out of the area. Had good meal which was well priced with good sized portions. Rice was a little cold with my meal but would recommend again.

Ate here June 2008 with my wife before a concert, had the best fish and chips I have eaten, sea bass in Tempura Batter, superb. Recommended to friends and ate there last Sunday, bad mistake tasted and looked like either findus or birds eye, which is fine except it cost me £11.

I enjoyed a pleasant after work meal at the Almond Restaurant which has been open since the end of January 2009. The menu gives plenty of choice and the food is excellent and well presented. A nice relaxing evening. I will definitely go again.

Can I just thank everyone at Pushka for a fantastic night and great food. Me and my wife had three courses and the food was fantastic so top marks to the chef. I would also like to say how good the waiter Matt was. He sat down and explained all the specials and it was nice to see how much he knew about each dish so thanks Matt. All in all i would tell everyone i know to visit and mark it 10/10 Thanks Pushka

In keeping with most people in the current economic climate, value for money is a major issue for us in choosing our dining experiences. We have to say that Yiamas on Borough Road is an oasis in a desert of mediocrity on Wirral. The food can only be described as outstanding, the ingredients are obviously top class and prepared by a more than competent chef. With excellent service. In these days of pre-packed, microwaved pub-chain type venues, this place really is a breath of fresh greek island air.

I visit Liverpool as a tourist. I was disappointed as the food is not original thai!!!!!!the test is more like chinese food. ( all staff and chefs are not THAI)

In all honesty I can only say don't go there- especially for breakfast. The food is fine but the service especially by the youngish girl this morning was appalling and bordering on offensive. We did not leave a tip and will not be returning. Friends of ours are emigrating to Australia on Wednesday and after a last night out we decided to go for a last hangover cure breakfast. We decided to go to Esteban where we have been on many occasions over the years. Unfortunately this proved to be a mistake. The food was fine - although the breakfast menu is limited and is not children-friendly however the service was appalling. Upon arrival the restaurant was not yet open and did not open until 5 past 12 although the advertising board outside claimed that breakfast is served between 12 and 3. By the time it was actually opened quite a crowd had gathered. The woman who opened the door invited people to take seats. There was a sign asking for people to wait to be seated however no-one was there to greet us. We made our way to a table suitable for seven and were we have sat on many occasions in the past. We were then accosted in the most arrogant manner by the 'waitress' who demanded to know how many were in our party, even though there were clearly other people taking their own seats in the restaurant and who were not addressed in the same manner. Our orders were taken by another waitress who was inoffensive. We each ordered full English breakfasts but with different extras. However when our breakfasts arrived the rude young girl announced "Full English breakfast" to the tavle and when we pointed out to her that no-one had ordered a plain English breakfast she just kept repeating this like a mantra. The other waitress then brought more breakfasts and explained that the extras were coming on separate plates - which does not make a great deal of sense since we were already crowded on the table and as it turned out made it diffiuclt to account for what had been provided. In the end we did not receive two of the extras that we had ordered. I do not see how the rude young waitress could not have simply told us that the extras were coming separately. It was only the fact that this was the last occasion that I would see my friends for a while that we did not complain at the time. Nevertheless we will not be returning and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We went to Antonellis last night for a friends birthday after not going for many years and was very impressed and very pleasantly surprised with the change. They had a new more contemporary Italian menu and I went with the goats cheese filo pastry parcels to start which were fab and then the osso buco veal for mains which was as good as the one I had on holiday in Milan! Very tender meat with tomato sauce, a hint of orange and the rice had a taste of parmesan cheese to it... Yum! All in all it was definately so good that it won't be years before I go back again next time, more like next week to try more of the menu!

my wife and i visited othellos last night and as we are regular visiters to greece and eat at greek restaurants at home on a regular basis we see ourselves as quite aware what is good and what is not in greek quesine.the service was first class the restaurant was spotless and inviting and the chef and his staff are superb. the food was well presented, the choice was huge and the all round restaurant gets 10 out of 10 . thanks for a great night, george and christine.

Came here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, very friendly staff, the room was set out nice, clean, the menu so much choice took me almost 10 mins to decide what to have. They had anniversary balloons on our table and when we finished our main meals they played congratulations and came over with ice cream with a candle in, then took our photo and presented it in a anniversary card. We sat by the window looking across the mersey at all the twinkling lights, would be even better if it was when the sun is just going down. I will be going here again .
