The food was of a very high standard, with only one flaw, which was that it was overly salty. We have eaten here twice, once sitting in, and once for a takeaway. There was great presentation of food and good service inside. We enjoyed, but with a little less salt it would be outstanding.

We hadn't been to Liverpool for a long time and had travelled over from Blackpool to go to the Playhouse theatre. In typical style we parked up, wondered where to eat and stumbled upon La Tasca. Set behind the Marriott in the city centre this little haven of Spain was fantastic. Drinks service was swift and we had time to look at the excellent menu. It was his first time for tapas so we opted for the set meat menu (as opposed to the set fish menu) and had 8 wonderful tapas for £19.95 - absolute bargain. The portion size is very good and the quality of the food excellent. It was a lovely warm evening, sat outside in a bustling city sipping a cool beer and picking at quality tapas....what could be better.

We made a last minute booking for my hen night, having never been before I was a bit wary. However we had a really good night (even though it was a Wednesday) the food was excellent, and Maria looked after us brilliantly, I will definitely be going again and have already recommended Othello’s to a number of family and friends. The newly refurbished look gives the restaurant a whole new feel. Very refreshed and modern looking. The restaurant has great special offers: 3 Course Lunch for £5.50 Served every day: 12pm-2.30pm 6 Course Happy Hour Banquest for £13.00 Served every day: 2.30pm-7.00pm It also offers A la Carte menu Great food and a great place to go with a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.

The egg is the best place in the world (well almost.) amazing food. ah the soups. great atmosphere. very relaxed. u can just sit there and chill for how long as you want and never feel in the way. once we sat there for 7 hours! managed to squeeze in lunch, coffee, cake, a salad and a bottle of wine(that u bring urself).everyone loves the egg, vegetarian or not. whats amazing is that everyone comes there. Old couples, families, students, 15 year olds, buisness men. but then again the food is top!

Simply excellent, just what hoylake needs. No need to travel over to Liverpool now.

i went for a meal at the new 'portrait house' on wednesday evening with my partner. I've never written a review about a restaurant before because none have ever been quite that good. How ever my partner and i enjoyed our evening so much that i felt this was now necessary. The restaurant itself is fantastic, we were greeted instantly at the impressive front entrance and shown into the bar area where we were attentively asked for drinks by the friendly bar man. After our order was taken we were then shown into the restaurant itself... its so nice to see a set up like this where the restaurant and bar area are completely separate, fantastic!! We were given complimentary bread and flavoured butters, we felt special until we turned around and saw that every other table had this too! Our starters and main courses were piping hot and cooked to perfection, drinks were brought over to our table promptly and all in all i couldn't fault anything... except that the waitresses probably smile a bit too much!! We retired to the bar area where we enjoyed a couple of cocktails (try the daiquiri - amazing)and finished off our night. The bar man called a taxi for us and we were informed when it arrived. My partner and i both agreed that we had such a fantastic night and will be singing your praises till we return.... which wont be long. Thanks once again

We originally popped for one drink and a nose, ended up returning later in the evening to try out the food. We ordered 5 dishes between us and struggled to eat them all! The food was really tasty and served in good time. Will definitely be returning again. The place is decorated really nice and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I'd thoroughly recommend this place. Great food, friendly staff, and not too pricey.

The Restaurant has a great ambience, very friendly staff, always there to serve and have good conversation, I recommend it to anyone who wants a nice night out, The food is just what you would expect to go with the ambience, not too spicy and full flavoured, that goes for every dish I have tried there. All this for an average amount which is very affordable

best greek restaurant i have ever been..the food is extremely tasty,the staff are all accomodating(service with a smile)..the place is very nice with live music on friday and saturday night..i have been a regular customer of this place and so does all my friends..its really dining out with pleasure!

really enjoyed last nights Savina experience, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was really something else, the candles in the restaurant, the music, and we had the sangria it was a wonderful evening - just like being on holiday we will returning soon.

Quite simply the best meal we have ever eaten! The service was perfect - friendly and welcoming. The wine was superb and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back!

We eat at Othello's every one or two weeks and have done so for quite a long time. We have never been disappointed with Jerry's food or Maria's service. We highly recommend Othello's to all our family and friends.

excellent, excellent, excellent.. This place should now be getting some awards. First time i went to this Italian, the service was world class, with the food being some of the best ive had in a long time.. not bad considering i go to Italy on business trips and take many clients for meals in some of the most famous Italian eateries. Word of warning...this place is addictive. Enjoy!
