Fantastic restaurant, lovely atmosphere. lovely food. Thank you. Pete.
Savina – Liverpool City CentreThe Egg is a great place if you're looking for wholesome, nutritious food in laid back, basic surroundings. It has a very bohemian feel which adds to its charm. Prices are average/modest and generally good value for money. I've had lunch there a few times and the home made soups are well made, nutritious and fairly priced. I'd recommend The Egg and I'm a fairly hard to please individual when it comes to cafes.
The Egg Vegetarian Restaurant and Cafe – Liverpool City CentreWhat a find. We came here on 'Sugarvine' recommendation, and was amazed at this hidden gem. It was like going back to the 70's- flock wallpaper, red velvet and liebfraumilch; the prices are unheard of where we live- 2 quid for a pint of lager 6.95 for a bottle of wine and 2.10 for cheese and bics. Worth the train fare.
The Charcoal Grill – St.HelensAwesome food with a better than usual menu. Dim Sum was great with very impressive portions and with a good variety to suit all. We had a variety of mains with a hot plate and small wok that cooked at the table. Everything tasted and seemed freshly cooked and service was very good. We had come down from Manchester to eat there and I have to say its better than anything I have been to in Manchester. Amazing building with a great view just adds to the experience...Well recommended!!!
Chung Ku – Liverpool City CentreTHIS RESTAURANT IS A GEM IN AN OTHERWISE LACKLUSTRE LIVERPOOL RESTAURANT SCENE. I have dined here on 3 ocassions now. Menu is varied and exciting with a good price range. Service has always been excellent. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
Il Forno – Liverpool City CentreI went for a meal here last night and it was beautiful. The atmosphere was good and the pianist was fantastic added to the evening.
Jalons – WavertreeJust been for a late breakfast small wait but well worth it the food was quick, fresh and piping hot, vege sausages where a bit worse off but everything else was great. huge fluffy pancakes, juicy sausages and hot buttery toast will be visiting again soon. well worth a try for an easy sunday morning/ early afternoon
Tavern Co – WavertreeExcellent service and the best Chinese food in the area. I'm now a regular!!
very friendly and pleasant - house wine excellent
107 Dining Room – HeswallLovely place to eat if you like Italian food you will love it here, traditional Italian food, you don't realise you have not tasted REAL Italian food until you have been here you can taste the difference in every bite, price was quite good i have been cheaper places but the extra taste is worth it, the staff where lovely except one guy was a little rude and was not very welcoming.
Casa Italia – Liverpool City CentreMy husband and i have been to tapas tapas twice in six weeks. It was recommended to us by my daughter, who goes frequently on a girlie night with all her friends. Can? wait to go back again. it is F.A.B
Tapas Tapas – WaterlooI love Bistro Jacques. Every time we visit we are treated to great service and fantastic food. The menu changes every month so you never get bored with the same things. The food is fabulous and so inexpensive! It really is a hidden gem of a place and must be visited by anyone that loves great food and pleasant surroundings. The wine is great to. A great place to go for the pre-theatre menu mid-week. Well done Bistro Jacques.
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreThis place has become pretty much my favourite place to go for lunch following morning lectures this year, and I'm pretty miffed I didn't discover it earlier. Service is good, the food is great (and it would seem not to be packed with preservatives, either) and they do free green tea as well. Average price for a course is around 4 quid 50, and that'll keep you full for a good few hours, if not more. Definitely worth a visit.
Tokyou – Liverpool City CentreFantastic food, fantastic service. What more could you want.
Chilli Banana – AigburthThe food is really mind-blowing especially the crispy chilli beef. They also do great buffets on Sundays only.
New Peking Duck – WavertreeI cannot believe that I've spent several years in Liverpool without finding The Egg. It's the sort of place I've always been looking for. Good cheap food, laid back, a wonderful ambience - definitely one-of-a-kind. Highly recommended.
The Egg Vegetarian Restaurant and Cafe – Liverpool City CentreThis is a really good Chinese to eat in. The staff are always smiling, even in the early hours of the morning. Thanks Jimmy
China City – Liverpool City CentreThe food at Chilli Banana is excellent. I'm a regular diner here and I especially enjoy the stir fry vegetables- simple but mouth wateringly delicious. And the Chicken Gai Pad Met Mammuang is a beautiful blend of spices. Subtle but tasty. All high quality ingredients. The pricing is a bit random on the menu. It's on the pricy side for what you get but the food is so good it's worth it somehow! The fish seems relatively cheap, especially king prawns, but the soups are pricey. The service is generally very good, although we've had some less good moments, wrong food delivered a couple of times. We were also charged the full price for take-away once rather than the take away prices. Probably just a mistake but we didn't realise till we got home. It's definitely worth a visit.
