i went for a meal at the new 'portrait house' on wednesday evening with my partner. I've never written a review about a restaurant before because none have ever been quite that good. How ever my partner and i enjoyed our evening so much that i felt this was now necessary. The restaurant itself is fantastic, we were greeted instantly at the impressive front entrance and shown into the bar area where we were attentively asked for drinks by the friendly bar man. After our order was taken we were then shown into the restaurant itself... its so nice to see a set up like this where the restaurant and bar area are completely separate, fantastic!! We were given complimentary bread and flavoured butters, we felt special until we turned around and saw that every other table had this too! Our starters and main courses were piping hot and cooked to perfection, drinks were brought over to our table promptly and all in all i couldn't fault anything... except that the waitresses probably smile a bit too much!! We retired to the bar area where we enjoyed a couple of cocktails (try the daiquiri - amazing)and finished off our night. The bar man called a taxi for us and we were informed when it arrived. My partner and i both agreed that we had such a fantastic night and will be singing your praises till we return.... which wont be long. Thanks once again

We originally popped for one drink and a nose, ended up returning later in the evening to try out the food. We ordered 5 dishes between us and struggled to eat them all! The food was really tasty and served in good time. Will definitely be returning again. The place is decorated really nice and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I'd thoroughly recommend this place. Great food, friendly staff, and not too pricey.

The Restaurant has a great ambience, very friendly staff, always there to serve and have good conversation, I recommend it to anyone who wants a nice night out, The food is just what you would expect to go with the ambience, not too spicy and full flavoured, that goes for every dish I have tried there. All this for an average amount which is very affordable

best greek restaurant i have ever been..the food is extremely tasty,the staff are all accomodating(service with a smile)..the place is very nice with live music on friday and saturday night..i have been a regular customer of this place and so does all my friends..its really dining out with pleasure!

really enjoyed last nights Savina experience, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere in the restaurant was really something else, the candles in the restaurant, the music, and we had the sangria it was a wonderful evening - just like being on holiday we will returning soon.

Quite simply the best meal we have ever eaten! The service was perfect - friendly and welcoming. The wine was superb and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back!

We eat at Othello's every one or two weeks and have done so for quite a long time. We have never been disappointed with Jerry's food or Maria's service. We highly recommend Othello's to all our family and friends.

excellent, excellent, excellent.. This place should now be getting some awards. First time i went to this Italian, the service was world class, with the food being some of the best ive had in a long time.. not bad considering i go to Italy on business trips and take many clients for meals in some of the most famous Italian eateries. Word of warning...this place is addictive. Enjoy!

This has to be the best restaurant on Duke Street. We have eaten here 4 times in the last 6 months, we love the food, the staff and the atmosphere. We recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you Antonio for another wonderful night.

Buy one get one free policy very good value for money. Staff very polite. We go their at least once or twice a week. Restaurant always full. Steak and eggs has got to be tried'

Eat here on Saturday night after it being recommended to us. It was excellent! Small selection (as Gordon Ramsay recommends!) and all our choices were fabulous! The service was also first class and unobtrusive - just the right amount of time between courses. My partner found the main course slightly too small and he was still a bit hungry afterwards.... Not a particularly big eater so take this on board Pauls Place! But he loved what he got and it did encourage us to have a pudding which was also delicious. A little South Liverpool Gem costing about £100 for 3 courses for 3 people.

This is easily THE best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food is just superb and gets better all the time. The staff are warm and friendly and service is second to none. It is extremely family friendly. The decor and surroundings are warm and authentic. A lot of attention to detail has been paid. Can't wait to go back which we are on Sunday for Father's Day!!

Come on you lot! Visit a proper Indian eatery, not a rubbish one. This is our second visit, and certainly not the last! David and his staff are efficient , friendly and helpful. The food's great. He was formerly at the Raja in London I did feel sad for the 2 young girls who walked in and asked if they did chicken madras-then pulled a face before leaving- Kerala is a nice, subtler taste than all the rest -do yourself a favour-drop in and try it-you won't be sorry!

The food is tasty and well priced. The staff area very polite and helpful. It has a very comfortable atmosphere. I worked there about 2.5 years ago and really enjoyed working looking after the customers,good rapport with staff and the manager is a down-to-earth guy and looks after his staff.
