Great if you get in for the Greek Night!
Yiamas Greek Taverna – BirkenheadUsual Greek stuff, well done, staff excellent, Greek coffee lovely.
Mezze – WallaseyA bit on edge as I was meeting the bloke's parents for the first time but I still enjoyed the food and would recommend it to anybody.
Marsh Cat Restaurant – Heswallgreat food and service at very affordable prices. Ask for the special which is a starter and main meal and a bottle of house red or white, all for £15!!! Its a must!
Zed Med – Liverpool City CentreMy favourite restaurant. I have always had an excellent meal and brilliant time.
La Tasca – Liverpool City CentreThis is one of my favourite places to eat in Liverpool. I have been here a few times and every time the food has been delicious. A definate hit.
Villa Romana – Liverpool City CentreBoth my girlfriend any myself enjoy this restaurant very much. The staff are pleasant and the service is fine, as we never have to wait long for our food. There's a wide variety of choices with the food.
Auberge Brasserie – Southportreally nice food
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreThe Cowshed restaurant is the name for the top class A La Carte restaurant at The Wheatsheaf or 'Thatch' as it is locally known. Chef Julian Davies (ex Paparazzi, Chester), has been there since it’s opening in 1999 and devises the exceptional menu which he changes every 3-4 months. My favourite was the medallions of pork (now taken off the menu but Julian will make it at my request)!! The wine list is excellent and the decor (an old converted cowshed), is tremendous and thoroughly pleasant to sit in and enjoy with a great view of the fields and ponies . The restaurant serves toasties (about 80 varieties), steaks and salads daily from 11.30-2.30pm but booking is essential as it gets packed out especially on Fridays and weekends. Sunday lunch is a must try 10.95 for 3 courses, also you must book in advance. All meat and fresh produce is sourced locally and there are daily specials for both the daytime and A La Carte menu’s. A Short, Bromoborough
The Wheatsheaf Inn and Cowshed Restaurant – HeswallWithout a doubt, the best Indian meals I have ever tasted. Every dish tastes extremely fresh and exquisite, with an wide choice and from the same owners of the renowned Royal Tandoori of Smithdown Rd. You will not be disappointed!
Light Of Bengal – AigburthThe food was good but perhaps not quite up to the standard of El Macho, the refried beans here are not as nice and the beef chimy changas use mincemeat rather than the piece of meat in the El Macho ones. Drink prices here are very reasonable and I would go again.
Tavern Co – WavertreeI eat here regularly and am never disappointed food is excellent and house wine is also good.
Lalqila Restaurant – Bootlei have been here a lot of times and worked my way through most of the menu, i would reccommend the guacomole to start. you can't go wrong with a fajita or a burrito. the warm atmosphere and helpful staff make it an idea place to go for either a romantic meal or dinner with friends
Tavern Co – WavertreeHaving being recommended i was dissapointed at the quality of the food that was put in front of me. My chicken tikka was overcooked and very tough however i enjoyed the saag vazi side dish which helped.
Indian Delight – Liverpool City CentreEaten here about 15 times. Never had a bad meal. Food has always been delicious and freshly cooked. Really good value. (Never tried the Sunday buffet though)
Spice Garden – HeswallGood Chinese but nothing special.
Oriental Delight – HeswallIt was absolutely superb and the staff are stupendous
Crowne Plaza Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreGood food cooked with a vietnamese twist. Hot and sour soup delicious. Satay skewers nice but slightly dry. Excellent service -- table wine brought to the table unopened for tasting and never left to run dry before being topped up by the attentive staff.
