L’Aquila Prestwich – PrestwichAmazing food, generous portions and a really diverse menu. Served by super attentive staff and a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Loved it!!
Kobe Coffee and Bistro – SaddleworthWhat an absolute gem of a place. I recently visited Parbold and stumbled across the Windmill and so planned to take my wife there end of the week. We arrived early evening and have to say service, atmosphere and food was 5/5 and the price was most certainly value for money. My wife and I visit Southport a lot and stay in either the Bold Hotel o the Lord Street Hotel - both offer great service too. So it was a no surprise to note that the Windmill is part of the Mikhail Group - great service and atmosphere is standard. Oh and location, right on the canal bode well for a lovely walk towards a sunset. We will be back . . .
The Windmill Parbold – WiganVery Disappointed. Waited quite a while for food. Salmon bagel- had to send mine back , salmon was stringy, some avocado black, limp lettuce. My friend had the same - her salmon was awful as well. When we complained- one salmon bagel was taken off the bill - should have been both. People we know sat behind us had been waiting 1hr - said food was cold when it eventually arrived but so hungry they ate it!! We expected more from the refurbishment- still dark, dingy - not impressed. Definitely won’t book again for lunch !!!
The Windmill Parbold – WiganOnly my second visit, taking friends for lunch of the back of excellent evening meal previously. Good move as my friends really enjoyed it, also good quality wines on offer. Now ,u##my favourite restaurant in Saddleworth and will definitely be going again.
Sorella Restaurant – OldhamWe had a fantastic time at Panama Hattys and were disappointed we hadn't visited before. Everything about our evening was great, our waiter Carl and his colleagues made a huge fuss of our children, service was prompt without feeling like we were being rushed and the food and drinks were excellent. The midweek deals were great value for a Friday night and we loved the cocktails and set menu. Affordability was great, a really excellent experience all round.
Panama Hattys Grill – PrestwichThe starters and main course were average. However, the Cheese Platter offered on the Dessert Menu was very poor. We were told as there were no grapes or celery available, slices of a strawberry was the substitute! The crackers were very ordinary and the cheeses were morsels rather than portions! It is perhaps as well, that we do not have butter with our cheese and crackers, as the individually wrapped pats, accompanying the cheese were frozen!
Sorella Restaurant – OldhamLovely food, nice atmosphere, and excellent service - the lady who looked after us, Arri, couldn’t have been more attentive. We’ll definitely be back!
Panama Hattys Grill – PrestwichWe were eagerly awaiting re opening after the recent refurbishment, after booking in last Friday pleased with the decoration and internal figments. However as busy as it was, we felt squashed in somewhat. So sorry to report we had to chase staff for serving drinks, then had to wait a full 2 hour to be served our food from our 19.45 reserved time. Staff appeared poorly supervised or too busy, never once did anyone come to take our drinks away although empty, we’d have ordered a desert but was running out of time for train journey home. Although food great as normal and expected the service we had was very poor, although supervisor did give us 50% off I said we are not a charity case as good was fine just the service, very poor, unusually. We’ll revisit again soon but hope 2 more waiting in staff to be in place and better trained to actually visit each table,.
The Windmill Parbold – WiganSix of us went to Mario's for a family reunion yesterday. As usual Mario was the perfect host, friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The food was excellent and we all had an enjoyable evening. Would recommend it wholeheartedly.
Mario’s Pizzeria Ristorante – RochdaleExcellent service, friendly staff, amazing food from start to end we all had a great time
Panama Hattys Grill – PrestwichBeautiful place, love the refurbishment, food was lovely but staff not very attentive so had to keep asking for things so when the service charge goes on your bill automatically can be a bit annoying, always leave a tip but would rather choose our own depending on the service we receive!
The Windmill Parbold – WiganExcellent in everything, setting, cleanliness, service, food and drink. Atmoshere very homely and very good portion sizes so good value for money.
The Rising Moon – HydeWe gave eaten at the windmill several times but we're disappointed this time .The service was poor waiting above half an hour to get drinks to the table. Two of us were under whelmed with our food both leaving large portions of the dishes The three men enjoyed the apple crumble and custard .Again there was a significant wait . We felt the staff needed further training so willvwait some time to return
The Windmill Parbold – WiganFood was delicious. Service a little slow. Didn’t receive the garlic bread with the child’s meal. I mentioned it to a server and they told us it would be a few minutes. It never came. Wouldn’t have minded so much but it wasn’t a cheap meal. Ordered children’s ice cream sundae but just got ice cream
The Windmill Parbold – WiganJess our server was very helpful
The Windmill Parbold – WiganExcellent as always, great value for money too
Waggon and Horses – StalybridgeMyself & my husband had a beautiful meal here again on Sunday 23rd March. We both had the pate' to start and it was beautifully presented and was very nice. I had the minted lamb Henry and I have never in my life had so much meat . It was cooked perfectly and was super tasty. My husband had liver & bacon but asked for no bacon as he isn't to keen on bacon and he was given a lot more liver instead which he was most impressed with. He said his meal was lovely. We love visiting the pub and the staff make our visits even more enjoyable as they are all so warm & welcoming. Thank youxxx
