Such a lovely restaurant. Food was amazing. Staff are so friendly and the service was great. It has a lovely atmosphere too.

Both the food & service here are excellent. Emma went out of her way to make our experience special. First time visit for some of us and we will definitely be back.

Ate here on Tuesday lunchtime 10th December with friends. The food was excellent as always, the staff were lovely but the service was a bit slow possibly due to it being busy.

Another visit, another wonderful meal & the reason to go back again. Whatever we have is always good & served hot, every time, fish is excellent. The staff can't be faulted, friendly, caring & attentive but not overly so. The menu offer something for everyone. Happy Christmas to all at L'Aquila

The waitress was nice and tried her best but the service was very slow considering there was only one other table eating besides ourselves. I think they must have been understaffed. If it had been busy I dread to think how long we would have waited. The food was ok and I had had a lovely pint of Caffreys.

Service, food and general ambience quirky and interesting. 3 mins from the hospital so perfect place to pop in to after an appointment. Food was well presented and delicious

Booked to meet family for a pre Christmas meal and we looked around the area prior to booking and came based on reviews. Amazing old school pub favouriteson the menu along side more modern styles. Food was absolutely beautiful, the Lamb Henry was perfect! And the homemade gravy was clearly not packet mix rubbish, it was superb. Steak pie and chips was great as well, absolutely full of meat, and the chips were huge chunky chips. Great value compared to where we live (Cheshire) and surroundings were lovely. The only niggle is the slightly slow service to keep up with drinks as the pub was pretty quiet at the time. But the staff were all lovely and helpful so all was good. Keep up the good work in the kitchen but maybe keep an eye on customers tables a bit more considering how many staff were available. We will certainly return to try more of the menu!!

Delicious food, great service and atmosphere. Very friendly staff and even though so busy coming up to Christmas we didnt feel rushed at all.

Came for Sunday lunch as a group of 5 and we all left very happy! Our daughter said the gravy was the best she'd ever had and I was pleased to find venison on the menu, and even happier when I ate it. Great cooking, good value and superb, friendly service. We will all be back

We came for a meal on Sunday 8th December. The meal was lovely and the staff are always so nice and always have a smile on there faces. We really enjoyed our visit and we will be back very soonxxx

Excellent service, lively atmosphere and tasty food.

As always, the welcome is very warm . The service was prompt and very attentive to are requests. As a change we had the fest dinner which was very good and filling. The restaurant was busy showing how popular the staff , chef etc are. Thanks for a great evening and look forward to our next visit. Would recommend
