Fletchers Arms – Dentonexcellent food and service.... recommended :) very nice beautiful waitress smile and lovely.
Just Thai @ The Village – UrmstonJust what Cheadle needed. Great restaurant, food delicious, service friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere, Louise
Istanbul Grill – CheadleWe have dined here last night, for a Birthday Celebration of my girl friend. The food arrived fairly quickly and was pretty good, although some of us found things a little spicier than usual and struggled somewhat. I was very surprised to be offered a tikka masala that was mild, medium or hot! Would say I have had better curries, but very nice non the less. The menu prices were a little more than average but final bill appeared pretty reasonable, although am so not used to getting charged for the pickle tray. Finally The food was really tasty and all eight of us enjoyed it. I will definitely go back again.
Bollywood Masala – Manchester City CentreMy husband and I went there for the 1st time on our anniversary, to be honest we couldn't wait to get out, the Greek music was far too loud, the place and the waiter was grubby, the bowl of stale second hand olives was chipped and 'old' ... the 'meal' I had was piece of overdone steak with 4 little 'roast' potatoes and slice of lemon, nothing else!!! All in all, we were very disappointed and won't be going again.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportStayed for one night; wished it was for longer. Fantastic place to stay, great room, beautiful bathroom, lovely breakfast, extremely congenial hosts. Great place to be in Saddleworth. Thanks guys!
Waggon Inn – SaddleworthWe visit the Spicy Hut regularly. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and entertaining. This week they made a special chocolate curry for our 5 year old daughter and it was fantastic. When they saw how much I liked it they brought out a chocolate jalfrezi for me to try - it had to be one of the best curries I've ever tasted.
Spicy Hut – RusholmeWe have been serving amazing Indian food for generations!
Khandoker – Didsburyexcellent food and service, the staff are pleasant and very polite
San Giovanni – UrmstonWe visited on Fri 24th August for tea, on the way i remarked that it was a long drive (i don't like driving and we came from Hoghton) and that it had better be worth it-its the kind of distance that you would only travel if the food/atmosphere/service were good enough-we are going back. As we pulled up on the car park, which looked busy i was asked if i'd booked, i said not, i mean come on what food place is busy these days?-wrong when we walked in it was buzzing, just like when you used to go out all those years ago-before the Recession. We (2 adults, 1 teen and a 10year old) told the waitress we hadn't booked but would like to eat, she seated us, completely unruffled in the lounge area and went off to check how long before we could be accommodated, within minutes she was back and showing us to our table. What a mix of people in the busy, but not cramped dining area-many families with youngish children-no doubt taking advantage of the "kids eat free before 7pm deal"-and why not?, there were quite a few couples in, a group of lads in their twenties and what looked like a table of WRVI ladies. Oh my word, what a stunning menu, with a separate Specials menu too, we were so stuck-the diner on the next table said he would highly recommend the scallops, and that's just the short of place it is-friendly and relaxed. We ordered our food, scallops (which were delicious), pate and tomato bread, followed by steaks and pizzas and every single mouth full was just perfect-the waitresses were very attentive, making sure we had the correct cutlery for each course and enough to drink throughout, it was a meal out like we've not had in a long time, and just as final bonus when the bill came it was more than reasonable for what we ate and the quality of the food and service. We will without a shadow of a doubt be back.
Rivington Pub and Grill – HorwichVisited yesterday evening
La Via – OldhamMe and my husband went here for food before we got married in Aug 2011. We loved the food and the service that they had to offer we decided to have our wedding meal here. They did an excellent job of catering for 80 of our guests. Everything went great thanks to a brilliant professional team. Me and my husband often go throughout the year. Everyone of our guests complimented on the food drinks and service. We was worried because they had never catered for this many guests at once, but they were fantastic. Would absolutely recommend ruposhi to any one that would go with one person or 80. Thank you to Ali and the team.
Ruposhi Indian Restaurant – BuryMy husband and I stayed for one night at The Waggon Inn recently. The room was very clean and bright, fairly spacious and had everything you need (although you might want to specify a room with a bath as opposed to just a shower). Although we didn't have a meal there as we were meeting up with friends in the village, we enjoyed our breakfast - in particular the good quality bacon and sausages - and the restaurant is attractively decorated. The owner, Adrian, is really friendly and welcoming - the perfect person to be in charge of a pub. If the public rooms were as nicely decoarted as the restaurant and the bedroom (they are fairly basic), The Waggon Inn would be even better than it already is!
Waggon Inn – Saddleworthok food but not the best in manchester! we should have stuck with our trusted favourite chaophraya! food of a much higher standard - there is a sayin "you get what u pay for!" chaoprhaya all the way!
Try Thai – Manchester City CentreDO NOT bother eating in at this place, we ate here on friday night and waited over two hours for our main courses and they still missed 2 people out when they eventually arrived. Seems like the takeaway side of the business is prioritised over the restaurant. Would never go back.
Dalat – NorthendenThis restaurant is the best Chinese that I have been to in Manchester and such friendly staff!
