What a lovely place, stopped going to the Vic years ago (landlady was awful) but decided to give it a try because all my friends have said a lot of good things about it, definitely not disappointed, the food was as it states (real food) not microwave as you would find in most of the pubs in and around bury. Staff very polite and eager to make your evening as relaxing and enjoyable as they possibly can. I will be recommending the Victoria to many more of my friends and hope that some of the people that was put off when the rude landlady was there also give the Victoria a try, its just what Walshaw needs!!!

I have eaten in the restaurant and had many take aways from Buraq. I could never complain about the quality of the food. As I am a particularly fussy about quality of food I don't have Indian food from anywhere else. At Buraq the food is full of flavour and superb. I may return this Christmas with my young family.

Buzzrocks is the best Caribbean takeaway i have eat in! really friendly atmosphere and pleasant staff. The food is of top quality and really large portions. Excellent takeaway...... my favourite by far

We went for a meal here after hearing great reviews from friends/associates. We went on a Friday evening in October 2009 and the table was booked for 9pm, we arrived at 8.55pm but were not seated until 9.30pm even though there were tables available. We quickly ordered our food and asked for some olives which didn't arrive, we asked for them again on 2 other occasions and they finally arrived after our starter. The starters were nice but nothing to get excited about. The waitress cleared our starter plates and we then waited 40 mins for the main courses to arrive. On arrival my husband cut into his monkfish which I can only describe as frozen and not cooked at all! We complied to the waitress who apologised and took it away to get another one, which took 20 mins to arrive. During this time I asked for my main course of Chicken Supreme to be kept warm, unfortunately they appeared to have kept it somwhere that would continue to cook it so when it reappeared with my husbands now overcooked Monkfish, it was overcooked and dry. There was little sauce with it and what there was appeared to be a very thin gravy and not a supreme sauce. We sent both dishes away untouched! We asked to speak to the manager who appeared sheepishly, we explained what had happened but received little response and no apology. She offered us complimentary coffee which we felt was an insult. We requested the bill which included one of the main courses which I could not believe, so I advised the manager that we would not be paying for either main course which she looked a little pained by. The bill returned minus the 2 main courses which we paid and then left the restaurant to go home and get a take-away! My husband and I eat out at various restaurants on a regular occasion but we can honestly say that in the 4 years we have been together this restaurant experience has certainly been the worst in terms of food and service!

mr alis is the nicest curry house i have been to and im a curry connoisseur, the taste of shundarbarn is the nicest curry. and also the prawn jalfrezi.

I'm Paco, Spanish male living in the Bolton are for 5 years, I have recently discover this lovely restaurant that make my stay in the northwest like if I was back in Spain... the food... is like my old nan used to do. A bit of Spain in Horwich??? Yes!!! It's true

fantastic restaurant. Great food and cocktails. Service is brilliant and no matter how many times you have been there is still a great selection of meals! Cachaca cocktails are the best i have had. I hope it maintains its unique quality

The best Greek food in Manchester and out of Greece and Cyprus

I am going to be very careful here,because this little place has tremendous potential. The Sindhoor has a varied different interesting south Indian menu,and our starters were superb,but the service needs to be improved 100% and serving chicken drumsticks in the chicken byriyani is somewhat unusual and not enjoyable. But will try again soon and hopefully they will get there act together,this is not criticism,its friendly advice,because this place could be one of Manchester's great additions to the Asian scene.

I was looking for somewhere to fulfill my need for spice that also looked after the tame veggie! Mission accomplished! We were accompanied down Oldham Street by riot police (that's another story though) and had to ring the bell to get in. That was the easy bit of the evening - deciding on what to eat really perplexed me - it all sounded so good on the menu. Although it was Saturday night, we were early & managed to get a £12.95 deal for starter, main course and accompaniment. We were a party of five, but all managed to find something different, which is a good sign on a limited fixed choice menu. Yup, even tame veggie. The food was delicious, spicy and subtle at the same time. I had a Nyonya lime curry with chicken... oh no, my mouth's watering again at the memory. Only one of us managed a dessert which was an amazing looking green thing with ice cream. It definitely tasted better than it looked! There's a small but interesting selection of wines & beers, including Hanoi & Beer Lao. That was our first visit, but not the last.

what shall i say about this marvelous restaurant it has the best service out of all of Manchester I highly recommend it!!

We went to celebrate my wifes 40th birthday to Zouk last saturday and what can i say about this place?! Starters delicious, main course fabulous, pudding out of this world, service excellent.... Definitely the best Indian I've ever been to!!!!!

This is a fab restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is very good and the ambience is also good. You always get a really warm welcome. Highly recommended.

Simply fantastic. We have been in Japanese restaurants all over south and north America, and this one is the best we ever been. Very traditional environment excellent food, fantastic sashimi freshness and flavor.

Best restaurant in Bradford by far tried others like Akbar's , Nawaab, Aagrah and etc, but nothing can be compared to Zouk's great service, excellent food and fantastic atmosphere. Can't wait to visit it again!!
