I'm not sure who is eating here that is actually happy with the food, the place was dirty, the food was awful and the manager was rude. It's the first time I have ever put chicken in my mouth that I could not chew, and the chopped tomatos the chicken was sat on, were chopped tomatos out of a tin. I was not asked if everything was ok, and when my full plate of food was taken, I was still not asked if all was ok, this was obviously and evident that they knew it wasn't, but ignorance is bliss, so if they dont ask they dont get any feedback. what a shame that a nice looking pub on the outside lets you down on the inside.

Great night spoiled by being rushed from our table. We had spent over £500 as a group, but as soon as they had our money we were asked to leave 'as there were eight ladies waiting at the bar'. Our party hadn't finished their drinks but we were hassled until we left. I believe this is unforgivable in a service industry and won't go back.

On Thursday, my husband and I celebrated 20 years of marriage. What a wonderful place for such an occasion. Great atmosphere (lovely Christmas decorations , candle on the table, nice music), wonderful food, attentive service and the bill was not expensive at all. We received a liquor on the house as well. We'll be back soon, even if there is not any special occasion.

My partner and I visited La Roma today for lunch and we had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch accompanied by a lovely bottle of Barbera. We were the first to arrive and were promptly greeted and seated at a table for two in a window alcove. By the time we left the place had become busier although it was not bustling and the clients were a mixture of couples and a group of friends enjoying the Christmas lunch menu. It was obvious that several of these patrons were regulars. The layout of the restaurant, a former pub, has been very well thought out with a light and airy main restaurant area, an intimate and cosy 'stübel', and a spacious bar area with comfortable seating with a theme of Italian racing cars and motorbikes with an actual Ducati in its midst. Our food was well presented, served in good time and absolutely delicious - my pizza rustica was one of the best I've ever tasted and my partner's ciabatta with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and mozarella (modified on request from goat's cheese) was equally enjoyable albeit it was initially served not hot enough for her liking - the waiter apologised and returned within a reasonable time with a completely fresh meal. It's not often these days to find Italian restaurants where the staff actually converse with each other in their native language which adds to both the authenticity and the ambience. The location may be a little off the beaten track with the river view marred by the electricity pylon cables stretching directly overhead but nonetheless we consider 'La Roma' to be a great find which we hope to frequent regularly.

la Roma has been the perfect place for both a quiet intimate meal but they are as good with larger groups. For the second year running all our neighbours go for a meal together and la Roma is without a doubt where everyone feels we get great food, great service and of course the best Tiramisu in the NORTH WEST!!!!!! Thanks to all the staff who stay friendly when we no doubt get a little rowdie towards the end of a long Italian feast!!!!

I was surprised to find this place in Ashton town centre: Great food and lovely atmosphere. The food was superb- I've not eaten such tasty olives and chicken since I was n Marrakesh. I would definitely recommend it. Hidden treasure!

Sunday breakfasts, Good quality and big portions. Saturday afternoons they welcome children and don't mind splitting one child's portion into two. Last Saturday afternoon they gave out the most delicious pretzels FOC!

I've been living in Manchester for 10 years, and none of the so-called "Japanese" restaurants have impressed me. They are flashy, but not truly Japanese, and not even close to those you find in London. Yuzu is the real thing, a proper Japanese restaurant where Japanese people like myself appreciates the effort! The tempura is great, not greasy at all but light and crispy - as it should be, but so many restaurants get it wrong. Same can be said for the tonkatsu, which was thick and crispy yet done to perfection and still juicy. Highly recommended, and hats off to the chef!!

I tried Jai Kathmandu for the first time last week after reading the many recommendations. It was a very cold night, snow everywhere but as soon as we walked inside it was lovely and warm. They had made a big effort to keep the large dining area heated which was appreciated. We were welcomed by very friendly staff. the food was amazing, unlike any other Indian restaurant I have been to. We had some poppadums, tandoori lamb chops to start, I had Karahi Lamb which was amazing, the rice and the naan bread lovely too. I would recommend Jai Kathmandu to everyone and will definitely be going back!

I have been eating at this restaurant for over a decade. It is always brilliant. The food and the service is consistently excellent. No other restaurant can compare on price or quality. The Sunday lunch 3 course for under £5 is just as well cooked and served :)

Six months ago my son and I visited La Salsa for lunch. Not being an adventurous eater this was my first taste of Tapas. I was very impressed and tapas has become my favourite eat-out meal. I would give the restaurant, the staff and the food a hearty ten out of ten and eat there a couple of times a week.

An unclean establishment run by people who could not spell hygiene let alone practice it. My food was poorly presented, the staff rude, handled their hair, faces & cash without washing their hands before touching the food, coughed over the produce and in general were poorly presented and unclean. I would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

When you visit Nutters it's like being in a Fairy Tale. There's a SORCEROR in the kitchen, a REGAL QUEEN front of house and a WIZARD in the winery. There's nothing BROTHERS GRIMM about this experience. It's a Magical Potion that leaves you wanting more and more.
