What ever you do, don't mention Wagamama! Whilst it may not seem obvious at first, Tampopo is subtly different to Wagamama. Despite the menu design style, the seating arrangements and the orders scrawled on placemats a-la-Wags, the similarities stop once the food arrives. Wagamama is much more of a fast food Japanese noodle bar, whereas Tampopo is much more pan-asian focussed with noodle (and rice) dishes from Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and of course, Japan. The food itself also has a more authentic feel to it. The use of coriander adds to the genuine taste of the noodles. Prices also come just under the usual noodle bar levels and the service is of a good standard befitting such a restaurant. Great food, good atmosphere and just the right place for an informal meal before going out.

I took my wife here last Saturday and we had a fantastic time. The food and atmosphere were perfect. We had to have the fillet steaks for the main with chunky chip and thin chips. Steaks are best we have ever had and their reputation for this is well justified. We have just re-booked a table for all the family in a weeks time as it is rare we all get together and I could not thing of a better place to go. We rarely venture into the city centre but this is well woth it and there is cheap parking nearby. Make sure you have a pud aswell!! Have a good time. Paul

What can I say, had an absolutely wonderful evening. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food a delight. I went with a group of friends and we had a truly great evening. We didn't feel rushed to finish. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This is quite simply the most pleasurable dining experience I have ever had. The food is second to none and the setting is so clean and classy. The service is outstanding. The staff go to the next level in customer service.

Mirroring what others have said - this place is a gem. Food is superb and served quickly by the efficient friendly staff - it's a homely place - not a 'designer' restaurant at all, just somewhere selling great food at very good value prices. Loved it.

We are greeted and treated like members of their family. Just like Thailand any gift or good will is returned 120%.It was because the Thai's there are so nice that we took our first holiday to Thailand this year. That was so good we rebooked for 23 days next year within weeks of returning. Margaret & Tony

Tried Albert's Shed after noticing it as focus of the month on the Manchester Online Website. We were not disappointed. Excellent food, friendly staff who aimed to please, and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be going back!

Being real foodies, at many restaurants we find ourselves complaining that we could do better. Not here. The food is exquisite and the portions are huge. Enjoy!

Ate at the Koh Samui on a very busy saturday nite and service was very good.Food was absolutely wonderful-you must try the garlic chicken dish-beautiful!! Staff were very friendly and we will definitely be going back there!

Myself and some friends went to try this new eatery for Sunday lunch as there really isn't anywhere in this area that you would recommend. The menu was limited but consisted of salmon, holly tree lamb and a risotto. There were 2 choices of soup but we were then informed that they had only one portion of apple and carrot, so we had the other choice as well - they were both excellent!! We all opted for the lamb which was accompanied by roast vegetables and yummy roast potatoes - again we all agreed it was delicious!! As for pudding I did not partake but my friends did it was apple and pear crumble with Cheshire farm vanilla ice cream - you could actually taste the vanilla pods - We were all unanimous - We will definitely be going back and also recommend it to all our friends. Well done!!!!!

Having been recommended by the owner of a "curry house" in Blackpool we were delighted to find this restaurant exceeded our expectations. Food well prepared and presented, with some surprises included. An entirely enjoyable eating experience.

Excellent and varied selection of meals and good wine list, very friendly staff, will definitely go back....great olives!
